Alot of sellers in the US.sell fakes to. Some of the items at the bigger shows are crazy fakes yet older dealers swear their original. Greed takes over hobby and destroys it for new people wanting to get into the hobby.

I'd like to see more of the fakes being exposed. We are walking an ever more dangerous mine field of fakes being pumped out into the market. We need to call them out. These kinds of videos provide us another layer of education and frankly protection against being scammed.

I've seen some really good reproductions that are being sold as reproductions. But, somewhere along the line, they might turn up being sold as genuine.

Great vid. I especially liked your comments about all these enamel signs that keep popping up now. 20+ years ago you never saw one, now we're awash with em over here in Britain - Unfortunately everyone and their uncle believes in the bloody things which is a bit strange really when you think that these things were attached to the outside of buildings, that were then bombed and destroyed along with 90% of the rest of Germany - yet they ALL seemed to have survived intact!!!!!!!

Thank you for this, novice collector here. It's important that this info gets out there, hopefully it eventually dries up the counterfeit industry. Have you ever been burned on something? And how did you find out who was making all this stuff?

Even real items that are not clean have a certain patina which is uniform and consistent, and even have a "soft" look to them. The fakes don't have that look and most collectors who've been collecting for a long time know the look.

In September I'm heading over to Ukraine, joining the Freedom fighters and landing in Poland, then taking a train to Kiva Ukraine. Stop in Poland and see how they make this crap. LOL. Now those min posters on the match boxes would be nice to place in with your real collection. We need people like you to let us know about this kind of crap. Keep it up and great video.

Should be illegal. I remember when those fantasy aluminum handled knives first appeared on ebay. Had the rzm and waffenamts on them.People were paying hundreds at first bidding like crazy but now i think buyers have wised up since. I recognized the early ones were being casted over cheap vz58 bayonet blades..even included the vz58 leather sheaths. The ones shown here had different style blades. Sellers sold them as originals. Medals especially scare me off ...its a minefield

Hi I sell military at flea markets and a guy brought me a helmet and asked me if I wanted to buy it he said it was worth like thousands. But he would sell it to me for 500. Obviously I think this whole thing was a scemma when I thought about it Lai realized the helmet was just wrong. It was a Africa core helmet. And he got it from his great Uncle who served in the British army. One thing I noticed was thelmet was just too good to be true and when I was looking at the liner. I believe it was just not original yup they're out there trying to sell c***

These idiots operate with impunity on EBay. Granted, they can't sell some of the items due to the symbols. However, printed documents, stamps, forestry cutlasses and knots have flooded that platform. It's a shame knowing that what you're looking at is fake yet you can't warn the novices that kill each other bidding on them. It does nothing, but turn young or new Collectors away from the Hobby. That's why it's so important that you're getting the word out. Kudos to you Muchacho.

Some of those fantasy pieces of crap were so bad that only a total normie or a gullible tourist could be fooled by them. The HJ knives on the other hand looked more convincing. The fakers still got ways to go but they are getting better, unfortunately so. Great video and very informative.
I bought a round, black and white enamel plaque from 1939 and it looked good enough. I bought it quite cheap but i doubt its authenticity, because some polish guy sold it to me. It has the big black SA logo on the middle of it too.

t's very strange... I'm a Pole living in Poland and I've never seen such cheap knock-offs in my life... where are they sold because I've never come across them... I know collectors and no one here plays with such things and Teresa even film studios don't buy such artifacts, they produce their own, there are fakes, that's normal, but no one talks about it because everyone knows that they are fakes... we have enough originals that are still lying around in villages, in basements, attics or under floors... unfortunately, a lot it was stolen by the Soviets and bought by some people, but believe me, there is still a lot of it, what you are showing here, including the offal from China, Turkey and Ukraine... it's one big nonsense
