there are people, but in minecraft bedrock they are just small, at least in Hive server I guess (I don't know why). For deaths not moving, they sometime let runners go free so they can do some PBs and it's called "freerun"

There's a glitch in death run where if use your leap and you go through a checkpoint there's a chance the checkpoint won't activate

This is intentional, as with death ppl killing him it would be much slower. This is meant to be done by yourself if you want the fastest time.

Liked this video but just wanna know, on 1:05 He was on 6/8 checkpoints and he won on just 7th chrckpoint
Sometimes you go so fast through the checkpoints it doesn’t count them. (Such as leaping through a checkpoint)
