Today I talk about the new speakers from Elac called the B3 DB63 Bookshelf speakers. These feature an aluminum dome tweeter, a fiber woofer, are easy to drive and cost only $449 yet they sound remarkable.
If you have been looking for a high quality affordable speaker you may want to see this video!
In this video I share. my thoughts on what I expected these to be vs what they actually were! If you are someone who is looking for an affordable set of speakers under $500 this would be my #1 pick. In fact they sound more like $1,000-$1500 speakers and IMO these are the best version of this popular speaker yet.
Elac is known for their great performance in speakers as well as their value. Always punching above the price point, Elac has found a sweet spot in audio where you can spend less and get more.
Are these the best speakers ever made? Of course not! But for this kind of money you will be hard pressed to find anything better than these.

@@ramondelgado6778 thanks! These have more resolution, more punch, more clarity and sound like a more expensive speaker. The diamonds are great for $299 but these, imo, sound much nicer.
I have these and love them! One question out of curiosity, what do are you placing between the speakers and the stand?

The more I watch your reviews as well as others? The more I wonder about the basic transducer in all its iterations.
For example… I just put into my system a pair of Energy RC 30 towers. It was interesting to listen to them and keep a sort of reference as per old and new offerings . Thanks for the review.

Always? On which planet?
Would love to see what is inside these speakers. As I have found out just doing a parts upgrade of 50-75 bucks can really help them even more. Especially the tweeters.
I have 5 Elac's and 3 Kef's in my "Entertainment-Room" and I'm very happy with all my Elac's also. Hell, I'm Happy with my Kef's also *LOL*.
What are those speaker stands.... They look cool.... Would love them in white and grey
