Bismarck's Maiden Voyage - 1/350 model RC conversion

- Putting this thing together has been a very thrilling adventure sience it is my first time doing anything like this. I own a few racing boats so I know the basics but this model was not designed for that so It was a bit of a challenge.
As I said above many things should and will be changed when the opportunity arises. Ropes, paint correction, more details, Flags, planes, boats and so on.
I hope you enjoyed It and if you want more the next video may be with my other vehicles that include racing boats, tank, helis, cars and more!

This one is still far from finished tho. The life boats/ Plane/ flags and ropes are not there let alone weathering and details. I also have a problem with my smoke unit because it fried out and I need to replace it. Nothing decent can fit the tight space tho...

Get a model kit and convert it to rc. But before doing so it is a good idea to water proof it first and check for leaking
Wow. It really looks very nice. Amazing job. I wish the Bismarck would have the same speed and maneuverability ingame. But damn, that is one sweet looking model. Now get the smoke fixed and show it to us.

Nice, I'm also finishing the Bismarck 1/200 RC conversion, the last thing I need to come up with is a mechanism for rotating the main tower and a smoke generator. I'm already looking forward to the release of Scharnhorst 1/200

nice man! i made bismarck 1:200 scratchbuild using fiberglass laminate for hull plywood 1 piece plank deck
aluminium covered superstructures and guns turrets (main guns can actually blankshot) not as scale as yours with details but yup

@@Clonerro yeah I spend more but thats because of the details...I was going for 1:200 scale model with all the details so I can make it smoke and shoot BBs too. Sadly it is way too expensive to buy even the proper model alone.And sure you can send me the pics through my discord server

This reminds me of the videos i watched a long time ago (like 2010) where people will modify models like this (only bigger versions) to have functioning turrets that shoot small metal balls at other ships, one video i saw had a guy that had a Rodney with a gopro on the rear most turret.

I've been getting the plans together to build a 1/15th scale Scharnhorst in a few years with help from my dad(He fixes/welds in the 1,000ft lake freighters). I'm still figuring out what is going to power it, I feel that electric just wouldn't be powerful enough and long lasting enough for it. I intend on using aluminum to build it. I want it to be as accurate as possible and be capable of being in Lake Superior alone.

Congratulations for the really nice model. I have a question for you: I saw that you used an adhesive wooden deck. Have you had any problems over time? did it detach from the model?
I used super glue and I have no problems yet, but I also have not gotten the ship in water in a while.

Loved the video Daniel Rusev! Believe me when I say that I didn't have to scroll down the comments that far to find a SABATON meme about Bismarck! I wonder how big she would be if it were a 1:144 scale model? Nonetheless, I'm sure the girls from Azur Lane's Iron Blood camp will be very happy to see how well loved their leader is, aside from Roon who would probably be jealous that there aren't any P class Heavy Cruiser models out there at all. Can anyone image World of Warships IRL at 1:144 scale though?

Hi your model is amazing! Im just about to start the exact same project and wondered what esc you used and what motors too? Im really looking forwards to starting this project
I used a combined ESC and transmitter from a small RC boat. Model for ft009. The motors i bought as a complect with the shafts and rudders. They are standard brushed motors just a bit more heavy duty than the ones in kids toys.

@jamesmcgowan8342 I decided to lazy out and not put any. It works perfectly fine but I only drive it for a few minutes every month or so and not on full power so I am definitely not putting much stress on the system in general

I also bought the 1/350 Bismarck model kit, but applied Rheinübung Camo instead of Baltic Camo cuz i find it hard to paint on the superstructure ;-;

Got any tips for somebody getting into the hobby?
For painting tips I suck at its can't give any. For the electronics part tho I would say that you can buy cheap spare parts for Chinese RC toys and repurpose them for your build. It will be just as good in 99% of the time but cost 10 times less and you are sure that if something brakes you can easily get it replaced.
Don't be afraid to thinker as well. Worst case scenario you will fuck up something which is the teaching moment

Pretty fast that ship... One second and it moves forward by about one time its length. 250 m/s, 1 m/s being 3,6 km/h... That's about 900 km/h lol
