I remember seeing this album cover for the first time during one of my first trips. Like most Westerners I'd been obsessed with breaking free of Christianity. I had never noticed that the Dharma was right there, that it's magical, and that it *actually works.*

Um, do you really enjoy DMT so much as to use it daily? I used it once, got the 'message', then never felt compelled to touch it again as to not anger the 'beings'. Have any of these beings made it clear to you that they don't want you to visit them so often, as reported by other DMT users who have done it more than once?
I still find it hard to figure out the genre of Shpongle. There is too much happening in one album that it is pretty difficult to label this band. Regardless, the instant I turn this on, there is a jump in the level of consciousness. I am no longer thinking about the minute obsessions that keep running in my head all they long. What I am concerned about are problems of statistical significance like I am not my life but a link in a long chain headed towards something meaningful. And it's an ethical crime to not contribute back to this chain of consciousness. It's important to work hard to be useful. Even if I am not there to see, one day all of this will make sense. I just don't want to be the broken link in the chain of consciousness. This is not music. This is therapy.

I take some shrooms with my girfriend and we have our first expirience with tantric sex with this álbum, it was something incredibly unique but we almost lost the flow with all that noise from the beggining of "shpongle spoken here" song. The rest of the álbum was like a travel in time and in different places of the world like egyp and India or amazonas and of course the space and on the deep ocean... While I was naked laying on the bed with my gf admiring her beauty and sensuality I felt like I was touching a mythologycal creature that no one will ever believe, like those stories from sailors about beatiful mermaids or a singing nymph from greek mythologycl and we felt so much connected after this experience I wish everyone feel this almost once in his life.

I could really say that your comment made me cry a lil bit because I had experienced that same thing but with another pschedelic (LSD) and with other album (it was museum of consciousness), and it was a really profound memory that hurts a lil bit cause right now we are facing some difficult times in our realtionship, anyway, I am greatful to see that other ppl around the globe had some ridiculously important experiences like the one we had some months ago. This music is something special and if you add safe pschodelic substances, you can literally fuse in a single entity with the other person and everything has a really deep effect on you. I also felt like traveling around the globe with her. I miss her man... But luckily in the future a lot of people will experience this safetly ! Long Live Shpongleland !

This is the trippiest that I’ve listened to. Especially the first track. The music was black and green and spiky. It was mint and magenta. It was little silver dome dudes in red business attire. It was streaks and spikes, rolling jumping bouncing

Does anyone know something even a little similar to this? I looked through all kinds of psy ambient artists like Ott or Kalya Scintilla, but nothing ever reached even a little to the quality and demandfulness of shpongle. These sounds are so unique, it's ineffable. ;)

You may like Hallucinogen, which is Simon Posford's band before younger brother or shpongle. OTT is a great choice, he actually remixes a lot of songs from both artists. If I'm not listening to Shpongle then its either OTT or entheogenic that another good one.

While on Psychedelics, I sit still practicing vipassana for hours while listening to the art crafted by Shpongle. I find myself present in the moment, being completely aware of myself and my surroundings, while all else fades away and disappears from existence. I feel lighter. I am focused. I am true. I simply am.
What do you take when you do this?, And what's Vipassana?, I too would like to experience this feeling, I want to be my higher self.
@Synthis_Bioji Pure acid, my friend. Vipassana is the original meditation method said to be taught by Budha himself. It was brought to the Western world by S. N. Goenka. There are ways for you to learn it online. It's a lifelong journey, and I wish you good fortunes in yours.

@@nirbe100 I may start with psilocybin mushrooms, since that's probably better for beginners, weed was the first thing I tried and I only did it once, it was as if time didn't exist for the remainder of the entire trip, and it was crazy, so definitely gotta start small or something.
@Synthis_Bioji You can start with Acid. Former experience isn't as relevant as your mental and emotional readiness, as well as set and setting.
Take half a dose. Feel the way your body and mind react to it. Wait a week and take half a dose again.
In your third time, take a full dose. Make sure you're in good company. People you trust. Safe place.
If then seek a deeper experience, you can then take 1.5 or a double dose.
Adcance gradually. Don't rush it. Stay safe.
