It's a warm summer night and I'm here in front of my piano, watching this video while playing with you, crying like a baby because this is my all time favourite song and you made me realize that it's even more beautiful than i thought it was (which was a lot) and i didn't know it was even possible... Thank you so much❤
Hi Mate. Here are some of my all-time favorite piano songs that have incredible chord progressions and changes but are still pop, jazz or R&B songs and incredible. 1. Until You Love Me (Al Jarreau) 2. I Will Be Here For You (Michael W. Smith) 3. El Dia Que Me Quieras (Luis Miguel) 4. If Only For One Night (Luther Vandross) 5. Take A Look At Me Now (Phil Collins) 6. Heart To Heart (Kenny Loggins) 7. You're My Love (Kenny Rogers) written by Prince. 8. Me Dedique A Perderte (Alejandro Fernandez) This song is really nice 9. Living Inside Myself (Gino Vannelli) This song has so much excellence it's ridiculous 10. Milonga Paraguaya (Jorge Drexler) Jorge is a master at composing unusual chord progressions that don't sound over done.
Yes I think those books are so well done. It's clearly edited but feels very much like he's just talking to you. Did you hear him reading excepts on radio 4 too? Really nice
I think that move from C to F#m works because we are hearing F#m compared to the G we were anticipating next in the progression, rather than the C that came before. That’s what gives it that descending effect I believe.
I believe George Martin also said this was one of his favourite Beatle songs. Thanks for your breakdown, the chord progression is magical indeed and the key shifts are so effortless.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :) Yes I believe so - he made a great record where celebs and artists sang reimagined versions of his favourite Beatles songs and this was on there - sung by Celene Dion if I remember correctly!
@@manatsea001 yes, I did see a documentary that showed a few of the recording sessions... would you know where I can listen to see the whole album? Thanks in advance!
@@paullim8042 I’m not sure to be honest. I did have it on cd a long time ago. Here’s the Jim Carey track - th-cam.com/video/-jkaX3XKxGI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eJUEkZzgAwNI57N1
No I definitely agree. Something definitely wistful about it which can feel sad. There's a version by Celine Dion (on George Martin's cover album he made) which sounds really sad somehow - it almost sounds like the words are about the ghost of a dead lover or something!!
Paul said that this song Here, There, Everywhere was the only song ever that John Lennon actually complimented him on saying it was a beautiful song and that he had something special with this song. He never ever said that before or after at any time the two of them presented individual solo songs composed only by Paul.
What are the grace note, we’ll grace chords, that you play in the middle of the bridge? I usually descend 4 semitones from F because I could never fir George’s riff in

One of the most beautiful songs ever written !!!
Agreed!!!
Definitely one of the most beautiful, most complete love songs ever written - its amazing chord progression and its lyrical beauty set it apart.

Wow what a lovely comment to receive...! Very cool to hear this. It truly is an astonishingly good composition. Its brilliance often makes me cry too!
Thank you for confirming why this is my all time favorite song. I vacillate between this and God Only Knows but your insight sealed the deal.
Ha yes I agree it’s a close call! You probably already know that GON is Macca’s favourite song!?
That chromatic move around 4:42 sounds so good on the piano, actually might've preferred that to the guitar lead they used on the recording.
very bond-esque
@@hen3vz ha definitely!
Totally amazing key shifts. Man oh man, Maca!
Thankyou , very interesting

Really appreciated the musical insights. I loved reading The Lyrics as well - added new layers to my love of Paul's music.

Lovely! You certainly do that tune justice.

Fantastic review! You do a great job of breaking this beautiful track down

Is it crazy to say that there’s this subtle sad feeling to the song?

It is sad to me. Wistful. Yearning.
