Just wanted to let you know that i love your SWU Draft videos! Always love seeing a good drafter. I’m hoping to improve my game by that. What do you think are the best leaders do draft this set?

@@Benewe-vx3rt Thanks for watching and appreciate the kind words.
Best leaders that I think for this set are Anakin, Quinlan, Wat, Maul, and Obi-wan.
Have not played with Mace or Yoda yet so they look interesting.
Main thing is to have viable leaders but find open lanes to get the best cards from a specific color so that you’re not competing with others for the same cards. I was able to get a lot of Green power cards due to lack of green players around me which made my Rex pick outperform.

@@xelephanor1404 Hero leaders definitely feel stronger this set. Anakin is a beast and can run over draft decks if they don’t know how to play against him. And like Rey, he makes low power units useable. Obi Wan is very straightforward and might be my biggest suggestion for new drafters. For experienced drafters, Quinlan, Yoda, and Rex (& to a lesser degree Padme) all have potential. For villains, I only really like Wat, Dooku, and maybe Jango. But I find villain lanes are usually more open due to the overall lack of leader strength.

@ agree with your assessment though I will include Maul in the list of strong leaders. That overwhelm adds up quick.
I did do well with Nala Se once due to picking up a ton of those 3 cost 4/3 overwhelm clones, but that’s harder to do.
Padme felt underwhelming. Even when I was able to get her Coordinate ability to trigger and I normally am a big fan of card advantage, her body was too weak to maintain tempo when I used her.

I’ve wanted to draft Rex but haven’t had the opportunity yet. How are you liking set 3 limited so far?

@@ajvakarian Rex was definitely interesting as he is a rare leader so the opportunity is few and far between. His synergy with Shaakti, Clone Commander Cody, and Strike True makes him a force to be reckoned with though I would not put him in the top tier of leaders this set.
I was fortunate to survive a bloodsport in these games and I did draft him again in round 1 at the Super Draft Championship this past weekend, but his stat line leaves a lot to be desired.
As for Set 3, loving it, but it takes quite a bit for me to not like a limited format. At least nothing is as oppressive as Overwhelming Barrage was in set 1.

@ TBH, I wish the clone he brought with him was also able to ready. That would have helped quite a bit. I do think he starts to shine with blue and getting sentinels out. One thought, I have found perilous position to be close to a pack 1 pick 1 for me if I’m potentially in blue. It does so much work against leaders this set (especially Anakin & Maul).

@@ajvakarian love Perilous Position especially since it’s not tied to hero or villain. Also love Hello There if I am on blue hero. That -4/-4 wrecks leader flips if you have something to follow up and is a huge tempo swing.
