Funny enough I may not be high elo (plat) but I main neon, and the Bucky is my favourite thing to use, I actually do pretty well.
@@ayanjit9196 Raze was the most op agent in val history she had 2 grenades with the first hit being a body shot slow which means if u get hit by the first explosion of the raze grenade your dead 100% her ult was LEGIT A NUKE and guess what it was 7 ult points only. Raze was better than pre-nerf chamber easily. U could have trash aim trash game sense but if u were an insane user of raze you could prob get to gold at max which was basically plat. The nerf just made her the raze we know today prob

Bro I used to buy Bucky like 10 times a game 😢 Then they gutted its right click. They could’ve made it cost like 1200 and drop the pellet count to 7 or something but they killed the thing. They should at least give it a sixth pellet on its right click back.

I still use bucky regardless, even on high eco rounds. On some maps like haven, it’s extremely useful with smokes and corners
It has one of the highest alpha strikes of any gun (discounting headshots obviously)
I was thinking of other metas.
The Sentinel post-mortem utility changes were massive, and completely changed the role.
Everyone remembers the frenzy meta, where frenzy armor was standard in pretty much every pistol round. This was also around the time of the singer meta, where it would laser you across the map while full sprinting.
I swear that I feel that also happened with mag-7 of csgo, I swear that thing one shotted everything, at close distance your dead and mid you are in the range but it doesn't give you that explosive damage, but if it's hit you in the head your ARE dead AF, I swear at this day it doesn't kill like that, you have to hit head or nothing
Its truly a tragedy that this happened but i still use it when i play neon on early.

I use it against my friends in 3v3s and I am winning so thats a good gun imo

And shortly after the bucky meta the judge meta was born. Now both guns lay on the oblivion, waiting patiently for a chance to be mainstream again

i rarely use bucky because of how low the damage and how slow the reload speed but its a good alternative when using neon

i was in comp and had an enemy omen that was truly a menace to society because he one shot half of the team with a bucky nearly every round
The bucky used to one shot people when right clicking... Now all it does is make them aware of your whereabouts
I was a sage main using mostly bucky back in first act but completely abandoned it when it got nerfed and became a Sentinel main that only uses Spectre and Ghost.
Bucky + stinger meta was absolutely crazy... I kinda miss it
Post-nerf I met a kayo named "buckybestgun" he had everyone on our teams consistently buying bucky without even telling us to, last round in the half and everyone on our team has it and a few people on enemy team have the bucky, it's was a mess of barrels and bullets, a mess of flank kills and all out pushing with the bucky, people were sitting around corners looking for an easy pick, stuns were being launched like fireworks on 4th of July, it was living hell.

The Bucky is still the most cost-efficient counter to Neon ult. I even bought it last round in half over a Phantom when I saw enemy Neon had ult. Covering the back of our team behind a corner and no more Neon. This tactic won us the round and eventually game too, she was popping off 3 ults per half and was generally terrifying.
I was thinking of the kj and cypher nerfs but this one truly changed the meta
