    We never get lovely fresh like that.. it is always half dead in our supermarkets.

      Why suffer? Move to Mexico, Monterrey Mexico is quite safe and modern, tons of jobs for english-speaking people and fresh produce and tons of U.S. products at H-E-B.

    Thank you for this. Really appreciate the info. Stuff that I didn't even know about broccoli. Did this today with 3 broccoli crowns and added 1/8 tsp baking soda. Broccoli looked fresh and clean. Oh yeah and I cut mine in florets since thats how I am cooking it

    In India we seperate the bracoli and wash it in hot water with turmeric and salt.

    Nice one darling, that's exactly how i go with broccoli, i would just cut them and soák in hot salted water for about 60-90 seconds nd it ready for stir fry/sauce... Great tip darling👍♥️

      Cutting them up before washing/ soaking in water causes the broccoli to lose its nutrients actually.

    Or just soak it for 15mins inside a bowl with white vinegar and water

    🤗Thank you so very much for sharing. I've never seen it cleaned this way. I love love love broccoli. But, I saw a little green warm in my broccoli right after my "really good cleaning solution" (vinegar and tap water), & I haven't purchased it lately. Now I can!!!

    But what about the insects that are always hiding in the broccoli as the less pesticides used nowadays means bug's are thriving....I'm always finding bug's in my broccoli as I buy organic and I just throw it away as once I see the bug's I'm done.

      @@勇気-n3y I guess the insects/ bug's add to that protein 🤔. I just can't eat it if I've seen something that's been living in it so I'll stick to the frozen kind....and that way I won't see the frozen,dead bug's I'm eating lol.

    It’s not the broccoli that is hydrophobic. The pesticide on the outside creates a waterproof film.
