The "strange statues" is actually the location of some treasure. Behind the standing statues, on their base, there is a knob/control than can be turned. You need to find the right combination, for each of the statues, then the statue in the middle will open up, and you basically get 4 gold bars. This is the ending to a bigger mystery. On your journey past the Wapiti indian reserve, next to the coordinated for rock carving #2, you'll see thidms massive rock formation. If u go mext to it, there is a painting which gives u clues on where the treasure is and what combination to use on the statues.
I once found a pig with a pink ribbon around it on my way to valentine along the train tracks and I got a gold wedding ring from it. Edit: it was alive

I am honestly extremely excited for part 2. I have been waiting for someone to put an extremely detailed video on all the hidden secrets and Easter Eggs for RDR2. Good video, but I wanted to point out, at 0:42 you have incorrect info... The UFO above that location doesn't spawn at 2 a.m. It spawns at 12 a.m. and will also spawn during any moon cycle. Also the letter/document known as *The Mysterious Sermon* doesn't hint at this location or the UFO found at it because of the reference to 2 a.m. and the Half Moon. *The Mysterious Sermon* actually pertains to the UFO found above Mt Shann. This ties in with the Panoramic Map and Mount Shann Alien Rockart Mystery. And all of this ties into an even bigger Easter egg.

I asked a friend IRL where do I find a rod. He said "Didn't the mission with the boy give you a rod?" I said "What mission with a boy?" I then went back to camp and Jack asked me to go fishing with him. At this point I had nearly 150 hours ingame.

Lots of amateur artists would piece animals together and claim it was found that way and is a new species or a crossbreed.

To me the statue one shocked me as it seems in a game that has an Easter egg involving statues it's always a weeping angel reference so it shocked me to see statues that didn't function like weeping angels and follow when you turn your back
they actually had semi underground houses during that time(in particular states). Edit: So it might have been a reference, but it's actually historically accurate.
I forget what sequence it goes in but the cave with the statues has a gold bar hidden under the center statue, the ones that are standing have buttons on the front of them and when you do them in a certain order you get the reward.

To me the statue one shocked me as it seems in a game that has an Easter egg involving statues it's always a weeping angel reference so it shocked me to see statues that didn't function like weeping angels and follow when you turn your back

I forget what sequence it goes in but the cave with the statues has a gold bar hidden under the center statue, the ones that are standing have buttons on the front of them and when you do them in a certain order you get the reward.
