Good video Richard. I've just started with a TOC this week so this assessment will be coming up very soon. Great introduction to the subject for me 👍

Very useful and informative videos. Like many others, I’m eagerly awaiting more videos on train driver rules. The visuals and delivery are definitely helpful to embed learning. More videos soon pleeeaase!

Great video again Richard, can't wait for next weeks one, seems interesting applying this weeks notes into lines with overheads or third rail on them 😃

Looking forward to this assessment, 😉 it has been a while since I have been 'on track', about 11 years of hard graft maintaining the four foot. Apart from that year working out of Reading P'way with the ultra sonic testing boys - walk 5 miles job done!
    Enjoying this set of videos.

Also for crossing the rail, if there are conductor rails, and there is no AWR, ideally cross where there's a conductor rail gap, a conductor rail cap is a space between the running rails, where the conductor rail is segregated, in these gaps there is enough space to cross the tracks without having to worry about the conductor rail.

This was really interesting. It'll interesting to find out what happens in tunnels and on viaducts. 😀

I've been rewatching Paddington 24/7 and noticed I understood what the network rail engineers meant when they were talking about the 4 foot and 6 foot. Made the show more fun so thanks for explaining these points.
One question though - when you're done with these videos, will there be a test?! 🤔

Funnily enough yes! Getting my PPl is on the bucket list. I started a few years ago but had to stop as it is so expensive. What about a Vegan Omelette 😁

I reckon the Indian version of this video would be rather short......"just don't die". lol. On a more serious note, I'm assuming that these rules differ for track engineers working on the line? I guess in that situation part of the line is closed and the current switched off, so they can go places that you can't normally.
