[Short Review/Rant] Ibanez SRX400, NEW OLD STOCK SURVIVOR!/Preamp Detail.

I recorded this cus I was bored and since there aren't any good/proper reviews, I thought this would be somewhat relevant well over 20 years after its initial release.

Just tested one of these at a local store and Holy Crap! Amazing sound for under $200 bucks! It’s really a MusicMan on a budget

I recently restrung this one with a 55-115 set and I have used it for lower tunings, mostly for Slipknot and such, but it does everything lol
You do gotta be careful with the preamp knob though, don't dial it in any further than 6 because it will distort your signal, unless you use a compressor pedal.
I run a compressor after a Sansamp and a Darkglass B3K when I'm using pedals, but also add some compression when using NeuralDSP Parallax...the pickup is very hot and the preamp can distort amps very easily

Hi! Which is better? This one, or a Squier Jazz Bass?

Ah man...it's a tough choice...both basses are very different from each other in sound, but in build quality, setup, feel and overall clarity of sound, I'd always go with this one
