That looks like a Rhesus macaque. They’re native to Asia, specifically Southeast Asia, where some interact with the native and indigenous people there, because they know these species well. However, these ones in Florida are invasive (brought in the 1930s from Asia). North America is not their native habitat, they’ve adapted biologically to a new environment and thrived. Some traits may even have changed overtime because of natural selection. These ones in Florida are feral (wild), have never interacted with humans. And some are known to carry herpes B virus. One must be careful and keep a distance, etc.
Macaques are native to Asia and form troops. The males will be forced out of a troop to go find another troop and become the dominant male with mating rights. They are very successful in survival and will eventually become a severe problem like wild pigs. They will kill and eat all of the insects they find and even rodents. They are very territorial and will bite and claw people. Inform yourselves by watching U Tube videos on how they behave in the cities. Where they are from. Tourist tend to feed them and eventually the monkeys get very aggressive when they are hungry. They invade homes and destroy everything that gets noticed by them.
