I remember being in the auditorium when they performed. I'd been knocked out of duo- 71, cutoff 60 :( -and I'd been watching humorous until finals mostly, so I hadn't seen this until then. I started crying the second it was over. I turned and saw my partner, who I'd never seen cry in my life, was also openly weeping. It was a life changing experience, and is to this day the most impressive duo I've seen.
Being a 3rd year Forensics student, as well as a duo interpreter , i have seen and heard a lot of duos. But i have never had one pull me in like this one did. This was phenomenal. I definitely don't have anything like this in my district.
karen joshi (girl) is the director of speech in debate at archbishop mitty hs. they're in my league and they are an absolutely phenomenal powerhouse in speech.
(This profile picture isn't me, by the way.) Eight years ago, my sister qualified for nationals, and I went with her and my mother. My sister didn't make it past the first cut, but I knew this piece would. The only memorized duo round that my mother judged in Wichita Kansas was round one. I never forgot the name of this piece, and now I'm a senior, getting ready for my go at another state championship. Just stopping by to watch this for the first time in eight years.

That heart transplant part takes some abs, yikes. That was also the most creative thing I have ever seen. Now THIS is a duo!
This was absolutely amazing. I'm going into Forensics this year, and I'm really glad I watched this. Wow.
Random nerd note: Taron is the second Grizzell brother to grace Duo stage. In 2001, his older brother made finals with his rendition of "The Wiz"
Ohmygod. Their voices.

Juan, I'm glad that I'm not the only one making these connections. haha.
This was amazing !
This should be a professional act. This is an old video. I wonder if either pursued professional acting. Well done!
