For context, godzilla is used to staying asleep for thousands, even millions of years. These movies are godzilla fighting an uphill battle since the evolution of humans, he can't get any sleep, and in his clash with ghidorah he almost died. Sarizawa gave him nuclear energy and died, reviving godzilla to come back and finish ghidorah off. Losing his only friend, his home for millions of years and having to expend himself in rapid succession, he hasn't even had enough time to sleep long enough to forget these travesties 😢
You're emotion is correct but godzilla didn't started to die because of the clash between him and ghidorah, he ripped off one of ghidorah's head until humans oxygen destroyer caused him his life, if that would have not happened he might have defeated ghidorah in that battle itself.
Ironically, he could have finished off Ghidorah back in the ocean had the humans never hit the oxygen destroyer on him which has no effect the alien Ghidorah. The nuking wouldn’t have been necessary, the destruction of his home wouldn’t have happened, and Mothra didn’t have to die (despite being immortal). Plus all of the Titans throughout the world would’ve stayed hibernating so he wouldn’t have to deal with their shits. Yeah, the humans of MV keep proving to be the real problem
