This tutorial teaches you another garden craft - how to DIY an artisanal moss pole that is quite a work of art! This is the result of combining floral arrangement design ideas, the concept of kokodema and the functions of of a moss pole. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm so glad I saw this! I was just about to attempt a moss pole collection of bromeliads and your idea of using burned tree trunks makes the project more exciting ... I pruned some trees recently and have them hanging around!

@@irmamarquez7936 If you live in a tropical/rainy climate, they get moisture frequently, and they do well. In my dry climate in Los Angeles, it didn't work to have moss around the trunk of the tree. Even with daily watering and having water in the bromeliad cups, they dried out too much....So I ended up putting them in pots with moss and some soil!
