I have an interview tomorrow for an ELD Teacher position, and I will be using this lesson plan as my mini presentation! Thank you soooo much because I was struggling! Fingers crossed--wish me luck!
Hi friend. Yep, you can find all of our Lesson Planning tutorials and resources in Module 2 of our online TESOL course, which you can start for free: goandteach.citizenstesol.org/courses/module2 And you can also find that "Animals" Sample Lesson Plan here: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1QMpjJG_V6IxFZMci5sJ6FEhABOTMv3zRXZT9V7I24q8/edit?usp=drive_link
You are so welcome! Check out our TESOL course's online modules for a bunch more nuggets like those. There are a lot of printable resources and training videos like this one in our course: citizenstesol.org
Thank you for your video. It's very helpful. May I ask some questions? I found out that my students used their native language when they did not know the vocabularies needed to describe or discuss the animals. Should I teach descriptive adjectives too or the kinds of vocabularies that they need to use in the production phase? And should I explain the grammar mistakes that my students did in the production phase in the wrap - up? Thank you so much...
Hi, you can check out our online TESOL course here: citizenstesol.org ...The online course is very flexible: you can take it at your own pace, you can start and pause your learning at any time, and you can even pick and choose different modules in order to get the training and resources that you really want or need. Our next session is just beginning, and there is still room for you!
Hi friend, the version we did of that "Toss the Ball" activity on this day was very simple, geared more for beginners. You can see it at 15:25 in the video. You can do a lot of different versions of this activity though, and you can even do something similar but WITHOUT a ball (for example, we talk about a similar activity that you can do to learn everyone's name in your class in this video here: th-cam.com/video/b9Qu5MX50Q8/w-d-xo.html). For a list of 50+ popular activities you can use for teaching ESL and to get your students practicing a second language, check out our helpful guide called "Fun Activities for Teaching English": citizenstesol.org/fun-activities (You can find our explanation of this "Toss the Ball" game in that resource...it is activity #16!) Do you have any other questions about this activity that I can help you with? Blessings, -Andy
First of all, I love the work you all do BUT and unfortunately there is a but As language teachers, let’s try to steer clear of using filler words like "uh" and "um." By doing this, we not only sound more polished, but we also help our ESL students avoid picking up this habit. It’s a small change that can make the world of a difference!
Your channel is really underrated ( I really appreciate your work it helped me so much.

Animals used for entertainment?
It does not make any sense in a foreigner group of students, honestly! only in upper intermediate levels but then this games are just nonsense
