Very nice flights from that PUG V2! 👌 I think that it is more stable than V1. I like these PUG DLGs very much! Nowadays I begin to fly with my 2ch "a filos" referenced DLG. I had fun. So I think that these 2ch DLGs can fly in thermals easily so they are very comfortable.
Thanks! 👍 Yes the v2 is better than the v1 in some respects. I feel 2ch suits a small field better and a 4ch suits a more open space. I'll sort out the flight modes next on the Pug v2....
@@RCSoaringUK Thank You for Your experiences. Yes, I sorted out the flight modes on my 2ch DLG nowadays, so I like the two-step launch preset. It can launch higher with this preset.
Hi Carl, Ive just started my adventures into DLG and have recently bought this model from Angelwing Designs. I've been very inspired by your videos with this model. I'm new to RC glider flying, please, if I may, can you explain what 'cruise mode' is. I think this must be where the rudder and elevator throws are less than otherwise? I've watched a whole lot of your TH-cam videos and all these are great, very much encouraging me to start building this and that about year ago! Cheers, Marc
Just finishing up the pug and noticed the location of yur pegs....the one that the kit is drilled for is too far inboard and doesn't seem right so am assuming needs to be further outboard..

Sooo ..a pug is a revisit of the venerable Free..DIY BUG.. Albeit now using a cf rod rather than the 1/8' dowel for the leading edge
