I love blue cats in shallow water! Often you see the fish hitting the surface before there is ant reaction on the rod or line. Keep those lines tight and keep making videos Dave!🎉❤😊
Nice fish Dave , Glad you had a safe Trip back ,, I've pulled myself out of mud before with throwing my Anchor ⚓ and pulling myself free ??? Small Tip , Thanks for the vidios
Dave i have been following you and your videos for years. I love them. You help me pass the winter months of the itch here in Ohio with your videos. Keep on killing it 💪
They relate to the splash of you casting out and hit right away. I've told people before they laugh but I take stones when I fish at night and throw close to my baits it causes them to come search. It works
I have a slingshot it's easier on the arm and it doesn't shake the boat. I can get closer to my bait more consistently. It's getting harder to find good rocks I figured people were catching on.....
Enjoyed the video Dave, I noticed right away you didn't have your Coffee with ya lol. Great job scouting the fish and picking up some bait to boot. That was a really nice blue you got, Good Luck and have FUN !
Dadgumit Dave! Take one home, fillet it and cook it so we can see it. "Thou shalt not muzzle the ox while its treading the grain" -Deuteronomy 25:4 It's mighty hard to see all that meat go right back into the water! God bless you brother!
Catfish Dave you are definitely my favorite catfish TH-cam channel you are a very good fisherman Can’t wait to see you suspending Baits in a kayak With a fancy bait bucket
Never seen anyone use a landing net to push a boat out of shallows.... In Mo. we are required to have a paddle on board which makes a good push pole if needed. Just a suggestion. Love your videos.
Get all the way to the back of the boat and rock it side to side in those situations and it’ll normally come out… Those creeks can be tricky sometimes. I’ve been in that situation more than once… lol
I kept a 12 foot fiberglass push Pole in the boat. Talk to a lineman with the power company.. They use them alot none conducting and un breakable I wrapped mine with thin foam and electrical tape over it, for grip...,inch and a half diameter..had it 20 years.,,foam is enough to float it...
You ever thought abt putting a long handled paddle in your boat. Rednecks like me learned as kids not to leave home in our beat up John boats without a paddle. Might keep you from getting wet or ruining a good net.
Keep a paddle or two in the boat. Maybe regular length instead of the short ones so if you push in the mud it will have enough left on the handle the actually push when the paddle gets swallowed by the mud
I'm a follower and subscriber we like what you do. Just curious I don't recall you fishing Kentucky lake or lake Barkley something I missed and /or do you have any plans of fishing them. Keep up the great content.
I fished yesterday couple bites no turtles yay but no fish either think they are finicky here plus I didn't have all my poles and baits either try again and Dave you love fishing gettem
By the way, your fishing is more pure because you catch your own bait instead of buying it. It’s kind of like reloading your own shotgun shells and shooting something with them instead of store bought shells👍
If you are going to play around in shallow water, you really need a duckbill push pole. Excavating another Panama Canal with your trolling motor and your outboard isn`t good for either, especially your outboard. You could eliminate all of those headaches by going back to bank fishing, like the old days. That was the real reason I started watching your channel in the first place, BANK FISHING and lots of it. Today, it is just watching you ride around in your boat and go to different states to catch catfish, something your original viewers do not have or the ability to do. The NEW high-tech Catfish Dave, is not the same as the old Catfish Dave, at least to me .
Getting stuck in the mud??? You should put up some trail cameras up to see who is that guy with the electric bicycle rubbing all those bananas on your boat. Could it be the same guy who was in that kayak that rubbed bananas on your boat at the boat launch.
Hey Dave, gotta tell ya my Dad must be your biggest fan. I mean I'm getting worried. Could you possibly give him a shout out on your next video ? His name is Roger.
I Love the way you throw cats back in the river to the sweet sound of bluegrass!! Always entertaining DAVE 😊 THANKS for another one !

So glad you made it off that muddy bottom.
We love watching your channel! Never know what you're gonna get lol Don't change a thing! 💜
Always need a long handle paddle help in situations like that , I've used one to get out of the mud
They have push poles, for when you get stuck in those shallow water areas, and they don't take up much space. Another fine video!
I always use a paddle when im stuck..
That's why I have a flat bottom boat instead of the deep V. Can get into about a foot of water as long as you raise the motor up and troll right on.
🔥THE MAN
CATFISH DAVE
THE LEGEND 🔥
I love Blugrass music and bluecats!
Hi dave. You should come on down here to the Cape Fear River. We got som big flatheads.
Welcome home Dave!
Fish On.

Same here in NY
Nice video man! Love it
Coffee and Catfish Dave! Good day. Carry On
That was fast! Eel’s the deal!
Good morning Catfish Dave!🎣
Get all the way to the back of the boat and rock it side to side in those situations and it’ll normally come out… Those creeks can be tricky sometimes. I’ve been in that situation more than once… lol
Dave, show us some monsters. God Bless
Yessssssss, Catfish Dave scores again 👍
LOL! I have fished in that exact same spot! I didn't catch anything though, but that was earlier in the year.
Always a fun time. Those were some nice blues too.
I liked that touch and go method Dave, soon as it touched the water? It was gone. Lol
That's the same spot that Kayak guy goes to get his shad. Must be a good spot for bait fish.
It's nice to see you on home waters, even if it is Fort Lousy.
The eel looked to be a good decision. Living in Eastern NC they are in most bait shops - is that not a thing in Eastern TN?
nope never seen them in any bait shops around here
American eels are only in most coastal states unless you have a big river that connects to the ocean.
Learned something new today. Thanks!
Ole Dave loves them catfish lot of sandwiches he throws back
@@randywilson6869 lol how
@@randywilson6869 he throws them back at every lake
Hey Dave, come fish the st.johns river in fla. I caught an 18 lb blue on a spinnerbait at the southern entrance to Lake George.
Little lousey Loudon blue on a viginny shad !!? Lol😂 Damn , you could get out and wade there in one spot !!😅
I still would like to see what you could pull out of Norris lake. I've never got any blues over 20 but there are some really nice flats in there

I don’t see many TH-cam videos on those two lakes for catfish. I live like 10 mins from both lakes
They feed up for winter here in October.. Eat everything in sight. Like bears feeding up.
I fished yesterday couple bites no turtles yay but no fish either think they are finicky here plus I didn't have all my poles and baits either try again and Dave you love fishing gettem
Looks like another great day on the water! What was the problem with the lithium batteries last week? Would you buy them again? Or stay lead acid?
I like to see you useing the - ugly stik, way underrated . From TEXAS.
Thanks for the video as always!!
3 ft of water and some night crawlers works fine on the old part of the Arkansas river on the Little Rock side .
Glad to see you did alright there
Nice fish for this time of year. I’d be proud of it!!
Bank fishing looks real good right about now 😊
Hell yeah Dave !
I actually thought You were going to treat your fan club with you pushing the boat in your bvd's ! hahaha
Hey Dave, really enjoy your "adventures". My ol flatbottom slides better!! I fish the Tombigbee in SW Alabama,,also partial to Teles and old Champs!!
Go Dave!!!!
By the way, your fishing is more pure because you catch your own bait instead of buying it. It’s kind of like reloading your own shotgun shells and shooting something with them instead of store bought shells👍
Sum dem Catfish appear to be beer drinkers.......LOL !!
Thanks Dave for letting me be in the Boat with ya ..LOL
Don't Tn require you to have a paddle on board? I have used mine in Lake Murray SC. When the wind would ground me.
You mean 'stuck again' LOL Catfish Dave risking life and limb to show us a catfish.
These fish missed you they all wanted to to say welcome back home LOL😂
Omg that hit was like bream fishing….immediately
Sheeew thank God for the trolling motor
That one you popped on the flat ain’t hurt for food that’s for sure
👍👍👍👍🎣video
Nice fish Dave
Now that was a good trip
Have you fished Cumberland & Dale Hollow Lakes?

wooooooooooo!!!!!
I wonder if big live skipjack would do anygood?
Should always have a paddle in the boat i think.
Amen
thanks Dave, be nice , play well with others
Hey Dave, when you gonna do a live fishing video?
👍
Uh, that wasn't quick, that was immediately!!
Won't be long, the days are getting longer
Brown bullhead catfish best baits to catch them
What size cast net do you use . I used a 5 ft.
You sure as heck chose the name of your channel right, Dave.
Fishing year-round, and it seems if you put bait in the water, you will catch a catfish.
If it's a body of water with only one catfish in it Catfish Dave will catch it. Of course he will have a camera set up, and call it a fishin video!
What a fissco😊
What rig is on that rod you caught fish number two with?
Santee rig with a demon dragon and a planer board.
That was fun
Nice
I'm curious as to what you gave $$ for them eels?
Hey Dave, gotta tell ya my Dad must be your biggest fan. I mean I'm getting worried. Could you possibly give him a shout out on your next video ? His name is Roger.
Them cats were frisky on this day.
How do you save your Shad for that long
Hi Dave. Thanks
Why don't you release your spool once the fish is in the net?
I have been having trouble with my phone I have a new one today it must be rough stuck in the mud but catching fish makes up for it
Catfish Dave 🎣
