holy eric i find anti seize never works, at least in new brunswick as we use a ton of salt as well, what does work well is good old fashion grease, i use a tube of it with a little brush and apply it to fasteners, similar to fluid film, ive taken bolts out that were in there 5 years ago and they come right out grease still there, anti seize always turns into powder and disappears.. least in my experience. anyways thats my 2 cents buddy! keep the vids coming

Hey there fella! Ya got a belt loop blowout there!😁
Yep, I'd have been cursing up a storm on this job! Some fine engineering from the folks at Nissaaaaan. Par for the course! I guess it's better than taking the radiator out the bottom, like the stupid Sable/Taurus. Sounds like there was no brush left in the fan - was just riding metal on metal on the commutator. Thing was about due to stop spinning any minute. Bet there was a nice groove, and pile of shavings in there, lol.
Good to see Vinny making the rounds again, now that it's finally above 30°.
Finally got my fittings for the OX Locker. She works great! Tried it out on the gravel driveway to the shop, and the inside tire would start laying a patch in a turn. Was digging right into the dirt. ZERO slip when it's locked. 👍 Just gotta remember not to lock it on dry pavement - will put some serious stress on things. Don't need to bust an axle now! Can't wait to try it out on the street in the rain ... 😁

I see you doing a job like this and think back to the early 70's when I started driving and working on 60 era vehicles you could change a water pump without removing anything besides the water pump lol. if you owned a 21 piece socket set and a set of wrenches you could damn near tear down the entire engine in the morning and throw it back together that afternoon now you pop the hood and it looks like you'll need a toolbox full of specialty tool and 6 hours to change a set of plugs. if I was working on these new cars I'm afraid my go to tool would end up being a 3 lb. hammer.

I usually "just know". A couple years ago, I completely gutted the interior of my '65 Mustang, and for some reason - for the first time in my life - I was very careful to sort all the fasteners in labeled baggies, paper cups, etc. Almost immediately after disassembly, I discovered carpenter ants were converting my garage to powder. I spent all my spare time for the next few weeks working on that instead, and when I finally got back to working on the car, I was VERY VERY GLAD I had labeled everything!

The sound of that old fan took me back to when I was a kid and attached playing cards to my bicycle spokes. Sounded much like that. Don't know if you have read my messages on the power drain I've been experiencing on my '07 Galant you did the rear alignment on. Anyway, I did some probing on the fuses. The only one I found any voltage on was the door locks.
And then, as you would say, something interesting happened within maybe 30 seconds of probing the door lock fuse. I heard the door locks making to 'locking sounds about 15 seconds or so apart and then there was no more voltage across the door lock fuse. I know the door lock has a timer thing on it where if you don't open the door within a minute or so of unlocking through the fob the doors will relock. Go figure, lol. Car seems to start better, doesn't sound as 'sluggish' as it did before.
Then I noticed I had missed the radio fuse which is located higher. I had replaced the radio 15 mos. ago and found the radio wasn't turning off like it should when you hit the center button. Of course, after contacting the company I bought it from found I only had a 1 yr warranty and it would cost $80 for them to look at it. And being only a $110 unit I wasn't going there. They did give me a couple tips and offered to help me diagnose the problem with an 800 #. but haven't got that far yet and of course had tossed the stock radio. Go figure, seems like all the things you save you don't need and those you throw out you do need. Such is life, lol. Thanks for sharing, Eric.

I know this video is 5 years old but I had that problem as well, so I took the fan out first, then it was easier to pull the plug apart.

No bidirectionals to test the new fan? I use grease too. Even on outdoor lights at home. Makes Lowes Blows fixtures easy to change bulbs and dump the moths.

Did you get your HF impact back from AvE yet? He did the review, tear down, repair, and diagnosis on yours through a couple of vijaos. Interesting what he found. He did mention a couple times how yours had suffered a couple "hot suppers". LOL. If he only knew.

Tip lock hood latch with screwdriver while hood is open then check hood release lever from inside car to ensure hood release is working before closing hood for real.
