Yep. I didn't know there was such a thing and without the 21 round magazine it's not much smaller than the original Glock. Seemed like a silly concept to me. This cardboard model however must have some pretty amazing engineering.
This is absolutely amazing creativity. I wouldn't mind making one out of those thin wooden sheets you can get in the crafting section at the dollar store, and then maybe tin sheets out of pop cans so it could look kind of nickel plated.

Applying super-glue over the entire surface area of cardboard pieces is a very clever way of giving it a tougher surface by providing a hardened layer! Nice!
... as an instrument maker... to give my smooth handled steel pliers a super sure grip, I used to sprinkle fine hardwood sawdust over the grip surfaces, then apply superglue... works a treat!
I highly recommend against doing anything like this for a school project. Unless you want your kid expelled and possibly a visit from CPS (assuming you live in the US).

Nowhere here did I see automatic fire. What was shown was strictly semi-automatic. That being said, wonderful craftsmanship. An impressive creation from nothing more than cardboard, toothpicks, super glue, rubber bands and a Dremel tool. Well done.

I actually have a toy gun that you assemble from premade wood parts that shoots rubber bands, from a company called Ugears. Its pretty overpriced though.

Now I am nervous, because you make the gun, what I was wondering about.

If you could release a proper kit that took away the prep of the very intricate parts to make and sold it at a reasonable price I would buy it and try build it. I think just templates, although they are free, won't be enough for most of us to replicate your amazing work! 😉

It's still pull back for each shot but just hide it in the trigger part, yeh kind of breakthrough I know.
From what I can tell it's almost like a double action trigger, but it moves the entire slide rather than the hammer.
