Not really. Open the chamber, load projectile, inject gas, close the chamber, ready to go. Vs: Measure powder, dump it into the barrel, dump projectile into the barrel, ram everything, measure powder again, put it in the flash pan, close it, cock the gun, ready to go.
Yeah right I don't know about that one. This takes only like 5-10 seconds if you're actually skilled meanwhile it takes like 15-20 seconds to reload a musket

this is an incredible proof of concept. i can already see how the military equivalent would of if you ever decide to go that far: from my understanding, there is an electric spark coming from the battery, which ignites the gas in the chamber, which then push the round of the chamber, into the barrel, and then down the range. now imagine this: that ENTIRE system, but in one bullet; and the spark comes from a magnetized firing pin in the gun, then the gas, which I imagine would be condensed for maximum firepower, ignites and does to the bullet all that I described in the sentence above. just how effective would this gun be? and do you think it would be adopted by major militaries all over the world? who knows!? but that is my 2-cents on the topic
UPDATE: ok, so i stand corrected: the trigger is connected to an igniter from a lighter, which through wires, creates a spark in the chamber, which THEN ignites the gas and propels the bullet. but still, just imagine this system shrunk down to a bullet, struck by an electricfied, (not magnetized), firing pin, and sending the bullet downrange. that would be awesome, and in my professional opinion, far more effective than what we have now at a cheaper price, as proven by this video

Just comes to show that a weapon can in fact be made out of anything.
It all boils down to how, and crafty, an individual can be.
