At 10:44 she was dropping a basket at a stone floor and I believe she left Asta at the church in Hage village!!. Now this makes sense. Asta's grimoire belonged to litch, and Asta's "mother" said she found it a few days ago when she met AMD. At the end of the manga when Lucifero killed her, she sealed AMD into the 5 leaf grimoire. Even Nero mentioned this during the fight with the first demon that Asta has Litch's grimoire and another demon is sealed in it. I just can't wait to Asta's and Natch reaction to AMD disliking demons and wants to kill them all.

In the beginning of the chapter Lichita mentions finding a five leaf grimoire (Licht’s grimoire) before finding Ribe. At the end of the chapter she then seals him into this grimoire before dying
She sealed him in order to protect him from Lucifero until he was strong enough to fight

Also he sensed the remorse in Mars and the happiness he felt when Fana returned to her past self. He only forgave the elves because they to were brainwashed.
I applaud Tabata for having his own twists on classic manga treads. The anti magic devil could have been Asta's original power and personality sealed away like Rin in Blue Exorcist or just be his father. The story with Liebe is so sad and heartfelt . Seems Liebe and Asta do have more in common. I can definitely get behind Liebe as Asta's older brother as he's always helped him out numerous times in the past
I gave black Clover a chance like 5 times because of how generic and unoriginal it is and the moment Asta had to fight his demon ( as if I haven’t seen this in Bleach or Naruto) I dropped I just think it’s utter trash now and can’t even have anything original

If Licita is Asta’s mom it makes this so sad as she probably wanted raise her real son but couldn’t because of her absorption of life energy....
Yeah it makes it very sad that Licita lived in fear that she might end up killing her own child via her body absorbing mana and life force. But it’s also sweet because she loved her child so much that she recognized that she would put her child’s life in danger if they remained with her and thus she needed to give that child up. Also it’s also sweet because she got a second chance at being a mom with Liebe. No wonder why he wants revenge! And if Asta is indeed her child then he and Liebe have a common enemy even though Asta never got to know his own mom.

It would be a nice theory but this can't be true. Mana is regenerating itself. So by this mean the demon sword can destroy magic and if it touches a magic user it will absorb the user power. So everyone who fighted asta and were touched by the anti magic should be terribly weak , because of the sword.

After reading the chapter, just damn. Liebe had a very terrible childhood (if Devils even have childhoods??)
Asta, while an orphan, had adoptive siblings, a father-figure, a loving home, and townsfolk who saw him as one of their own.
Liebe had nobody, was picked on from the start of his life, thrown to the Human world for shits and giggles by other devils, hunted almost to death by Magic Knights, all before meeting Licita, the only person who's shown any kindness and love to him.
yea shut up in the first episode you could see yuno ignoring asta later he became buddy type guy and everyone made fun of him for not having magic and above that he was a peasant and then people blamed him for destroying the kingdom whereas he protected it the devil and asta had similar backstory

There's a problem with his hypothesis that asta was given up by this lady the timeline within the series dictates, asta and Uno were delivered to the orphanage at the same time and at that time the three Devils that we know as the Triad. we're already possessing the their host bodies and terrorizing the Spade Kingdom, if she was asta's mother then the events that happened in this chapter were from b4 asta and uno were born. You can not deny these facts b4 believing a made up fantasy hypothesis that has no facts backing these claims. Now if were to believe that astas mother or father is some how maybe related to the devil's adopted mother that would be more believable, but to out right claim she is his mother even though they look alike destroys the timeline of the series!

My Personal Theory :
Maybe just like Henry, Licita was also cursed because of which she can drain mana and life force . Maybe Licita was not Asta's mother but one of the Asta's ancestors then child she left in front of the building ( It's not clear its a church) was not Asta but someone who can possess the Devil.Here's what might have happened Licita magic was just absorption of Mana but when she was cursed she cannot control this ability and start absorbing life force, which lead her to abandon here child and her husband might have died which lead her to lonliness until she met Liebe, then in the future that child and Liebe found each other , the child might not have the Mana so he/she doesn't get a griamore until he/she discoverd Liebe , Liebe and the child form a duo and are able to use Licht's swords then they might have gone for a journey along with Nero, on the journey they might have hide the swords in different dungeons, this results the devil having a connection to Asta's family and is passed down generations that's why Nero knows where the swords are

Asta also had the same magic as his mother and he absorbed energy from the demon subconsciously which messed him up. He'll thank the demon because now he can have friends otherwise he would have ended up like his mother.

Astas mon drained his power when she was pregnant so imagine that asta acctually had and insane magic ability and lost it.
well he does have stars in union mode and an extra set of horns and devil markings on his head when in said form that arnt from Liebe and his last name is Staria in the 1 shot meaning he might have had Star Magic if we go by him being half demon that would have been his magic.

So now it's clear the flashback during the Dante fight wasn't Asta's but the demon remembering Lichita and that's why he was so enraged at Lucifer

I mean technically weren't both of them triggered or was it just anti-magic demons wrath that caused Asta's black form to undergo a demon transformation? Because from what I know I thought Asta got pissed because he saw Gauche getting impaled by Dante's sword or whatever that is, but then Asta saw a memory that wasn't even his because AMD got so pissed when he saw it was Dante. I might be wrong though because after Asta woke up from being stomped by a slightly serious Dante who didn't even exercise his power yet he was genuinely worried about Gauche and didn't seem to cry yet, so I think Asta going berserk was the result of letting the AMD's negative emotion get on to him since Gauche nearly died.

This chapter is crazy......also it gives me a chance to think that if Amd can cross the gates of hell as he has no mana that means asta also can go to the underworld cause he also has no mana.....if that turns out to be true then there is a possibility that asta and amd in the end of black clover might become the kings of the underworld after defeating all high ranked devils.....or they get rid of the underworld for good.

I have a crazy idea, just hear me out. Previously back in the witches forest arc , the Queen of the witches said that he was born with a mutation that made him not have mana. What if the mutaion was something nesecary for asta's survival, his survival of being born to a Women with the condition to steal away others mana if near to her. This maybe the reason why he was born with that mutation. This can also bring light to why Asta's mother abandoned him on the Church. Just a theory or just a guess that i have, but I think its worth thinking about. :)

Crazy thought here but what if Julius is Asta's father? He was known for being a wanderer and is capable of storing mana and apparently lifeforce as well in that tattoo he had. He would be fascinated by her magic wind up smashing and dipping out before he knew she was pregnant and that would explain the small town getting the new nun shortly after Asta's arrival and due to the potential for political backlash he couldn't just bring Asta to court. Using his influence and friendship with Yami he convinced him to take Asta in to give him the chance to guide him.
Seems Liebe is now a mix of Ka-chan and Eren. Both have a desire that is very murderous.

I cried just by watching this video. Ribe has such a hard life and to see him get some love and then it getting taken away because of Lucifer makes me so mad! I’m so ready to see Asta and Ribe work together to fight Dante and Lucifer. I would love if Lucifer is like what is this power and Ribe shows himself and says Remember me a-hole! I would scream if this happens!

I’m thinking this might be build up to a time travel/time warp explanation. We saw Lichita leave a basket somewhere but it doesn’t tell us when that happened or what’s even in the basket. There also probably should’ve been a second basket there because Yuno. In Yuno’s backstory I don’t remember seeing Asta’s basket. Either way, whoever arrived second would’ve put them next to the other’s basket because that’s how they were found. But that hasn’t been shown, at least not yet. Lichita can store something without mana in something else, so what if she did that with Asta? We assume she died but Libe doesn’t actually know since he’s in the grimoire. She also takes in mana and life force. She grabbed Lucifero while he was connected to Libe and Lucifero noticed that she was taking in his mana. She’s also determined and I’m sure this was more than enough to push her past her limits. I think she was able to heal herself with the mana she took from Lucifero, and when he ran her through she was able to take some of his life force. Libe is the second child she had to give up for their own protection by trapping him in the grimoire. Lucifero can interfere in the human world through Libe, so maybe being connected to Libe when Lichita grabbed him was enough to create Asta, who also has no mana. Once she put Libe in the grimoire, she may have had Asta later on, and since he has no mana found a way to trap him in something similar to Lumiere and the spell broke when Libe was strong enough to fight.

So I noticed something from what Yami said at one point. Yami had stated that he "didn't think devils were real" and not that many people knew about devils. so that suggests that this may not be Asta's mother but rather a predecessor. This suggests that the people around Asta's time may not have known about the devil's and that rather this was during or before the time where licht became a massive demon.
And to think that we still haven't reached Dabi's reveal yet.

Now Liebe is Asta's second brother as well as his step brother. For Asta to stop Liebe from taking over his body, he needs to use a spirit weapon. Of the four swords which Asta has at the moment, Yami's second katana is a spirit weapon. Ironic Yami had fail to notice that his second katana was a spirit weapon until he had defeated Dante. The katana had magnified the power level of Yami's Death Thrust attack. Yami was only a death thrust attack to knock Dante out as a way to defeat him, but the attack had almost kill Dante.
Before Yami was abducted by Zenon, he had left his katana behind. The katana enter Asta's five leaf grimoire by itself. Asta had tried to used the katana against Nacht, but the katana had sense Nacht's Chi to determine that he was not a threat. The katana had refused to allow Asta to harm Nacht. Yami had left his katana behind to help his student Asta.
Asta,'s katana can sense the good, anger, and despair within Liebe the AM Devil through his Chi. As a spirit weapon, the katana will only use its powers to help Asta to defeat Liebe. The katana will not harm Liebe, but allow Asta to knock out Liebe.
According to Japanese folklore, each Samurai's sword is suppose to have spirit within it. After Yami is rescue, he will have to find himself in the need to find another katana. For Asta needs a spirit weapon more than he does. When Asta tries to give back Yami's katana to him, Yami can only tell him about the katana had chosen Asta to be its master and companion. In other words, Yami will be telling Asta to keep his second katana because the katana has chosen Asta to become its new master and companion.

Here’s my thoughts:
Personally I’m of the mind that Licitia isn’t related to Asta, but Henry Legolant instead:
1. It can’t be a coincidence that both characters share a unique magic draining curse (despite differing majorly in severity).
2. They both possess a unique variation of magic, which manipulates the dimensions of an otherwise ordinary and magic less object (Shown through Henry’s recombination magic and Licitia’s currently unnamed storage magic). *Sorry if this is a bad explanation*
3. It would fit almost perfectly with Henry’s backstory, explaining the reasonings behind both his abandonment and his unusual condition.
