@Jay Talents Don't blame the system. Nobody force you to get a loan from the bank.
In any case the banks is still better than the authority/govt of the other system. At least the bank won't send a murder squad after you, or send you to some labor camp.

Just having $100 Billion to invest is not the problem. Renaissance and Blackstone have more than this, and they are not being criticized in the same way. Ask instead whether Softbank is investing well or badly? Are they overvaluing companies? Are they underestimating risks? Maybe they are not smart enough to invest this money well, but the size of the fund by itself is not the measure to be concerned with. Measure their cleverness.

He's a very much go big or go home kind of CEO. A visionary like Steve Jobs and we need these type of people. True it's not my cup of tea, as it's too risky it's still impressive.

Sold the stock in December 2019 when it tripled and I was dismayed by the SoftBank and Vision Fund investment in WeWork and UBER. In hindsight it was a poor decision as the SoftBank stock has surged about 60%.

amazing video, thank you very much. I personally am very skeptical concerning such "investment strategies", they seem to be highly irrational (and therefore distorting the market). This is a quite general problem: if a financial institution grows too big, its' risk-taking strategies can become obscure (think for example of the "too big to fail banks" - how can there be rational credit-giving without the associated risk of loss (and more drastically bankruptcy)?.
