Hi Richard that’s what I have been asking for that’s great I can do this for my users in charity shops with poor eyesight really good video all the best Steve b
I like thr idea however I can't get the code to work. I made a simple 2 table / form database and put the Activate / Deactivate code on the Form but there is no color change. I tried both pop up forms then changed one back to regular, still no color change.
Do a little troubleshooting.. first check to see if the activate/deactivate events are getting called when switching between forms. You can add a msgbox statement to your code. Make sure modal and popup properties are set to NO
How do you do this can you show me I have been trying to do this because I have some users who have very poor eyesore and are u able to see what form they are on even though I have got a different colour forms what I really wanted was when one of my users had completed all the fields in a form that it would change colour from blue to dark red when completed is this possible. I look forward to hearing from you.
I always enjoy all your videos. All thumbs up to the greatest teacher

I really enjoy videos showing how to use Access' events. I'll definitely be incorporating this "active form" idea into my databases. Thanks Richard!

Using custom events you do not have to copy the code to each form.

I found that on active events and modal forms don’t play nice together.
Yeah I generally try to stay away from events on modal forms.
