I love this compilation. Most of the melodies are earworms, you know, the tune gets stuck in your head. What could be more spooky and spellbinding than listening to music that will invade and permeate one's entire mindset and emotions! I would actually like longer versions of these catchy tunes. A lovely selection of pieces for the season. In the first track, I really like what you did with/to your voice; it's quite appropriate for a track involving witches. The second evokes something between a creeping goblin and a dancing elf, almost a Puck-like character comes to mind. For the third, the way in which you weave the vocals and strings together over the piano is simply delightful. Likewise the fourth; I really like the pieces where you let your voice feature more prominently. In the fifth track, the strings are particularly well done, especially with the vocals and organ in the background. For the sixth, the use of the brass instruments works very well. As with the first track, your voice seems different in the seventh, but it's definitely fitting to the theme. The eighth track makes me think of a cat (probably from the title) waltzing through a candle and lamp-lit mansion. In the ninth track, the syncopation and lively strings make it a very fun track. Finally, the tenth track is as delightful on the second (or twenty-second) time through as the first :) I very much enjoyed listening to this selection; you're a truly talented composer with the ability to make very distinct pieces that still work together on a common theme.
