There’s absolutely zero case for slander. As far as I know, a lawsuit against the creators for making fun of somebody hasn’t even made it anywhere near a court because they’re protected by law to do what they’re doing. It’s parody and criticism man, the world needs it.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone really do hate Barbara Streisand. Apparently the hate stemmed from the creators not liking her singing and then Streisand saying that Colorado sucks. Her ripping on their home state was the last stray for Parker and Stone so they made fun of her in that South Park episode. Streisand got super salty about how she was portrayed in the episode so Trey and Matt made fun of her more in the South Park movie and in later episodes.

Wholesome? He has some moments in season 1-4, like helping Shelly break up with her 22 year old grooming boyfriend and going back to prison to hang out with Rumperstopper.
Skinny? No, there was episode in which we see the kids in kindergarden and he was fat then as well. Also from episode 1 we see Cartman's mom manipulating him into an unhealthy lifestyle (Cartman told his mom he didn't want to eat because he gets bullied for being fat and she kept insisting he eats until he gives in) so I doubt that it would even be possible for him to be skinny at first.
If you watch the show without spilling the milk on to get details, Cartman's life is pretty sad in the first 4 seasons.
Kyle and Stan bullies him and don't respect him at all
(In 'Cow Days' Kyle threatens Cartman to win a bull riding competition; he gets thrown around, but Kyle ignores that and even kicks his unconscious body and continues to force him to play even when he gets amnesia and was told to rest by the doctor because he wants a toy)
Though in all fairness the entire town of South park bullies him:
-in Cartman's silly little hate crime Clyde replaces Cartman because he is the second fattest kid in school and he was bullied to the point he starts acting like Cartman and even cries when Cartman came back saying "thank God"
-in (I think it was) "Succubus" his eye doctor tricks him into saying "I am a little piggy" and hits him
-Pip admitted that Cartman was bullied until he started bullying him
He gets s-xually abused a lot (ie. I forgot which episode, but he straight up said "you don't call it a d-ck you call it a fireman" + "fireman is very magical, if you rub his helmet he spits on your eye" also in "an Elephant makes love to a pig" he implies that his mom forces him to dress up as a mailman and dance while she gets high and have s-x infront of him)
Real recognizes real man spot on. I've bee on the hill o Cartman may be one of the most tragic and real characters despite his escapade and overall xenophobic ideology. I really love the Heidi and Cartman arc(literally the best story telling in all of South Park) for how raw and real it is. He's toxic af and ruined a good girl but at the same time in his own way really loved her. Then you et to the Pandemic Special and you see he indeed did change his ways and got to be happy for the first real time. Just for, as a fucking joke, them strip it all away and make him miserable. That's why he's back to his selfish and morally wrong ways. I hate that but man fr you should have more than 5 likes on this. The analysis is awesome to read and it really does add ALOT to Cartmans character

I have only ever seen one full episode of South Park and various Spilling the Milk reactions to the show, but I agree with Eden. Butters is my favorite character. After overhearing a Spilling the Milk video, my dad offered to watch South Park together, and when we do, I’m going to ask him to skip to when Butters shows up.
