      Thank you! I actually checked it last week. I don't like removing the deck plate often, but last time I did, it was after a ride and I confirmed that the water pump was active. Yume told me that has a very low threshold and comes on way before the controllers are hot.

    Hi Elliot - Congrats on your Predator purchase! I am looking seriously at he Predator, so I appreciate the vids that you’ve put up! If possible, can you address whether it has any level of brake regen, please. I’m doubtful because Yume absolutely makes no mention of it on their site (which is pretty good, IMO!). Also, if you could touch on the Yume Ride app’s features if you use it at all. Thanks in advance & ride safe! 😎

    • @elliotbaltazar
      @elliotbaltazar  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey there and thank you for watching. I can tell you that the Predator does not have any appreciable regenerative braking. It does use electronic motor braking to fortify the hydraulic brakes, and that is implemented perfectly. From what I have seen on the Internet, there are very few scooters that actually have true regen braking that makes a difference in real world range. Many companies use motor braking synonymously with regen, which is misleading. Regarding the app, I don't use it, so I can't offer feedback. The controls are super simple and straightforward, so the app is redundant for me. 🙂

      @elliotbaltazar Cool... Thank you so much for the reply and info! This helps a lot... Motor braking assist is just fine for me (to help prolong brake pads, etc.). Appreciate it! And just sub'd. to the channel. Take care. 🙂

      Thanks for watching! So, when I first got it, I did a run up to around 40mph and when I let go of the throttle, it started hopping like crazy. 😂 I put the damper on the next day and it eliminated it completely. I assumed that was what it needed. Since then, I have also adjusted the suspension, and it somehow feels even more solid! I haven't tested it yet, but I wonder if the suspension was the cause of the hopping the whole time. One day, I'm going to test it without the damper, and just the suspension adjusted for speed.

      @@user-tt6mn5cd5f I think you're exactly right about it being set too soft. I just rode it without setting it up. When I adjusted it for the first time, it was completely at it's softest setting. That's definitely what caused the hopping. It wasn't typical speed wobbles. It's rock solid now. I take one hand off without issues if I'm adjusting the camera.

    if you had to choose between the yume predator and rrp which would you go with? thanks in advance its greatly appreciated

    • @elliotbaltazar
      @elliotbaltazar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question but honestly that's comparing apples to oranges. The difference between a sit-down scooter and a standing scooter are night and day. If you were looking for the most performance and range between the two, then the Predator is an easy win. If I personally had to keep only one of the two for myself, again I would choose the Predator. Bigger, faster, better suspension, and more range. I prefer a standing scooter too.

    • @joserivera-lg5up
      @joserivera-lg5up 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@elliotbaltazar Oh absolutely, I understand what you mean. The reason why I brought the rrp into this is because I currently own a Zooz uu1100 and absolutely love it, but obviously am limited with range and top speed. Therefore instead of getting a bigger motor, battery and controller I figured I’d just get a new pev. My cousin I ride with has a goped and has a little more top speed and I wanna keep up with him.
      He suggested that I should get a goped as well, but I’m not really about being loud and calling attention to me… With that being said I was looking into the rrp or the “yume hawk pro”… I’ve read that the rrp in the fastest mode drains battery like nothing. I appreciate the extremely fast and detailed response Elliot!

      @@joserivera-lg5up I just looked up your E-bike and that's a great looking machine!!! I absolutely agree with you about a gas scooter. I am not down for that noise. The Hawk Pro is a sweet little ride. One of my friends has one and he lives it. Yume also just released the Raptor, which I think is comparable to the Hawk Pro in performance.
      Since you already have a sit-down PEV, I would definitely lean towards a standing one as your next purchase. The RRP is a great little vehicle, especially for the price. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's quick and fun, but the battery is weak.
      As for the Predator, make sure you have plenty of space to store it. LOL! It's the size of a full size motorcycle. I love it though! Don't forget that the Predator battery is unique among PEVs and has a much longer lifespan.

      You're right my friend, the tires are a little loud. They actually perform better than I expected though. I would like to try street tires at some point, but the tire size is not common.
      I think the speedometer is very accurate. There is another channel that tested with a dragee gps and found the same results. I have read too many people complain about their phones getting ruined by the vibration of a phone holder while riding. I only ride for fun. 😊
