I just watched you on Fly with Trent and had to come on over and check out your channel. I really enjoyed the info all three of you talked about. Thanks for doing all that you do. Liked and subscribed.
Working on my IFR. Currently working full time as line service at my local airport. Have my A&P and am doing freelance maintenance on the side. Also have a startup aircraft detailing company. My wife and I have become very entrepreneurial in the last few years, and watching this podcast makes me certain that being a pilot is the route I was meant to go. I’d love for it to help us get into real estate investing and other ventures. Thanks for all you do, guys! It gives me the motivation to continue on with my training. Hope to see you two in the skies someday.
This podcast is amazing ! Being able to be and entrepreneur and a pilot at the same time is really attractive to me and that is also one of the reason I would consider choosing corporate instead of airlines, just the added flexibility if I can find an appropriate gig like you guys have. Thank you for doing that. Have a good day guys !
Congrats on 50! I’m two lessons into my private license, and when I get my PPL I’ll be going to ATP to finish things up. Your videos have been invaluable with the advice you’ve given.
@Justincruz_officialI have about 20 hours right now, and I’ve been signed off for my solo for over a month, but weather and delays have stalled me out. My current instructor is heading to the airlines, and there’s no direct replacement for him. I’m looking at other schools to finish, or possibly going right to ATP this spring. I’d just hate to waste the instruction time I already have since ATP would basically be starting me over.
Currently living in Los Angles, working on my IFR at sling pilot academy. I think this is the reason corporate flying is the best for me. I get to fly the 0.01% richest people all around the world and build a great network and surround myself with wealthy individuals to one day be wealthy myself and make good money while doing it. Its a win win win situation. Thanks for the podcasts guys!
Likewise! I'm in the LA area, and just registered for ground school, navigation 🧭, and radio this fall semester at Glendale CC. Journey is just starting at 36! I want to get a nice little side hustle flying 🪽. With that said, can one fly part time, gig work, side hustle being a pilot? Maybe pick up shifts every 1.5-2 weeks? 4-6 flights a month?
I like how you guys used the example in the beginning that some pilots become firefighters as their side hustle. I'm a career firefighter looking to change into aviation while doing firefighting part time (if they allow it haha) It was nice to hear that, it really reaffirmed it for me!
The fact that I’ve been thinking about going to the float loft , even before finding your guys channel is crazy! I’m born and raised in Hamilton. You guys are great and inspiring!
Thank you for this! I had never really considered how the extra free time most corporate pilots seem to have could be extremely beneficial to someone who wants to create multiple income streams. Loving these videos!
I work full time as a cinematographer and hope to continue to do that in a freelance capacity while flying full-time! Love your content! Keep up the good work!
Totally possible, I did it myself for 11 years. Had 9 people working for me and was shooting over 100 weddings a year, just became more of a job than an investment shooting live events. Good luck with your training. Sean
Oh I’m right there with you. I’m also a pro cinematographer and plan to keep that going after becoming a full time pilot. (Starting from 0 hours next month).
I'm a new real estate agent with a day job looking to get my ATP eventually. Piloting and Real Estate seems like a great combo just need to figure out how to make them complement each other as well as you have!
Congratulations on 50 episodes, I’ve commented on your guys’ videos before and I just want to reiterate how much I appreciate your guys’ insight and desire to help people like me who are looking at getting into this career. You deliver such good advice and a consistently positive attitude that I really can’t find anywhere else. Congrats again and I’m super excited to watch the growth of this channel! Cheers! -Zach
I just came across this video as I was looking for something to listen to on my way to doing my ground school. And I am a firefighter, with a side hustle and too much time off
35 years in real estate (30+ valuations with national experience) and a passion for aviation. Wanted to get license then Covid hit. Would like to do aircraft appraisals (*did some when I was a California probate referee). Sadly, the one thing I am missing is my college degree. Life happened and never finished college. Now not sure if I'll ever become an aircraft appraiser or learn to fly.
I came here because I have no idea how to do a side Hussle.... And by that I don't mean just another part time job. I had the perfect one...fit in perfectly with my full time work and it was fun. But Post Covid not an option for me any more. Hoping to find some ideas which work for me
Just purchased the propilot playbook and I'm loving it, quick question gentleman. My local flight school doesn't have the instructors nor the time to be able to provide accelerated training. What do you guys think have an intensive two to three-week Private pilot training?
Well you may have to travel to an accelerated training school, or just look at the aircraft/instructor schedule at your school and take over every slot starting a month from now (or when it's open) for 3 weeks straight. Sean
This is exactly what I needed, I’m about to take out damn near 100k for this zero to ATP route at a local flight school, and paying it back scares me a bit
@weprinfilms i had a small hold to the flight plans, shortly after I started my enrollment process we got the surprise of my daughter, she'll be one in February! I still want to fly, but a little later down the road
Sean, I drive to Cincinnati daily from Lexington. Currently prospecting some flight schools in Lexington. Do you do any Instructing in the area Cincinnati, per se?
First off, you guys create an incredible podcast. My question is how far back commercial pilot schools check your medical records. Are there conditions that they will deny you after a period of time or will they decide based on the current condition of an aspiring pilot?
We have a medical video you could check out. Also we cover this in our course, but the best thing for you to do is go get a medical they only cost around hundred dollars and you will know the answer for your particular case. Thanks for the comment.
Great podcast! I just got my first corporate job flying an XLS+ and am brainstorming new side hustle/investment opportunities. Do you guys do private consulting calls? If so I would be interested in scheduling. Thanks!
If you put a group of pilots in a room, what do they talk about? so f'ing funny. That is me to a T, I have done all of that stuff and still do, build my own motorcycles, review exotic cars on YT, do Real Estate as a broker, been a Mortgage Broker, fly planes, Worked in Management with Boeing on the 787/777, and now hoping to SIC for 91 clients. Love the pilot life!!!! over 30 years now and going strong.
*” wonder what our pilot does when he gets to the hotel🤔”. *Me checking my Air Bnb bookings and twerking in the hotel room mirror, listening to ice spice, and eating talkis. I’m PAID UP🤑🤭 what recession lol
I have a friend of mine who also was a Delta pilot on the 76 and owned a Subway restaurant on the outside of Atlanta.
That’s awesome! That’s another great opportunity!

“I don’t know what to tell you, I paid attention on career day in high school”
Saving this for when I become a pilot 😂
Great channel! I think I remember hearing the inventor of the BowFlex was a pilot. That would be a great interview.

It was nice to hear that, it really reaffirmed it for me!
I'll be 44 on the 4th of July and hoping to start flight school this year. Been dealing with the FAA on getting my medical since November.
Happy birthday Justin! Good luck with your medical and your career.
Floating is great. Your show is fantastic. Thanks.
As a commercial student, these podcasts are super insightful and helpful. Nice job on 50 boys.
Much appreciated!
Thanks for the video, the advice is awesome! as an entrepreneur planning to get back to flying, you really layed the path down for me !
Glad it was helpful!
The fact that I’ve been thinking about going to the float loft , even before finding your guys channel is crazy! I’m born and raised in Hamilton. You guys are great and inspiring!

Would you say corporate pilots have more down time than airline pilots. Curious to know more about various pilot schedules folks have in the industry.

A four year degree is not required to be a pilot. We have a video coming out next week on our website about this.
Awesome insight😊
Thanks Manny

Same here. I’m starting next month. I see your comment is a year old. Have you finished the program yet? Do you have a CFI yet?

Great job guys. Can you speak about working as a pilot for overseas companies?
I know some overseas pilots that work one month on and one month off. Definitely a lot of free time.
Great podcast! I just got my first corporate job flying an XLS+ and am brainstorming new side hustle/investment opportunities. Do you guys do private consulting calls? If so I would be interested in scheduling. Thanks!
Josh, happy to help, just email me at mike@propilotplaybook.com
Congrats Broz 🫡🫡🫡
Thanks!
Flying and working out are my two passions I’m looking to own a gym while being a pilot. Do you guys know of anyone doing something similar?
I do know what gym owner but he's not a pilot. I think they would work together nicely.
Float tanks … totally cool
Try it!!

Are tattoos ever an issues for airlines Like a full arm sleeve and some hand tattoos? None of the tats are inappropriate or provocative
👍big ups!
Thanks for the encouragement Jeffrey!!

That’s crazy 😂 😂
🥳🥳🥳🥳
But the flight school said I would make $100,000 a year.
They were "Low-Balling" you!
You don’t make 100,000 for many years, you start out making Mc Donalds pay.
Sounds great. I think id like to do this. Just need to get the list of things to do going and where to do it. Appreciate the video.
Let your passions and what excites you lead you down some rabbit holes. Good luck!
