@@1963patto I don't keep any guppies, the closest species I have to them are Poecilia chica (a wild type molly) and Xiphophorus maculatus (the classic platy). I live in the Rocky Mountains, so we have very cold temperatures over winter and the early part of spring (it snowed in the third week of May this year). I typically put fish out once the nighttime lows are consistently around 50F (10C). Because of the elevation even at the peak of summer in late July and early August nighttime lows max out at about 68F (20C), even when daytime temps approach 100F (38C). I start bringing fish in during early September, starting with the less cold tolerant species. Cold tolerant species like the medakas I feel comfortable leaving out to late September or early October depending on the weather, they can take a light frost without any problems as long as the temperature warms back up during the day. Hope that's helpful!
Your tubbing is ending and in Australia we're just about to start
Indeed! I'll be watching videos from you guys down there to help get through the long winter up here.
@@bathyphila so what temperature do you like to put your guppies outside in?
