That's why she was called Gracie Fields - 6202 gave a high pitch sound 0-15 mph which went away above 15 into a continuous roar with no Staccato-type beat. There are videos on TH-cam of the similar Turbomotives running in Sweden
Thanks for putting this out. Similarities to the GT3, but then both had turbos. I woud be interested to know the source of the sound files. Generic or archives? Can't find this on your web site as yet.
Hi there. Unfortunately we couldn’t find any archival footage. So the sound file is an “artists impression” created from steam turbine recordings. We haven’t had achance to put the file on the website yet, but it should be available online next week. It will be available to order over the phone from Monday onwards 🙂
There are recordings of the Swedish Turbomotives on TH-cam which sound similar (if you ignore the Westinghouse pumps), it is well documented 6202 gave a high pitch wine on starting hence why she was known as Gracie Fields by railwaymen. At high speeds she became almost inaudible to track workers who feared her calling it the Ghost Train
Hi Dave, all the parts from the install are now available here - www.digitrains.co.uk/hornby-oo-gauge-lms-turbomotive-sound-bundle.html Many thanks, The Digitrains team.

Brilliant.
My Turbo should be with me soon and I know what I’m going to add to it.
Curious where you got the station building - especially the two-story part.
The station building is a Metcalfe Country station kit 🙂
