Glad to see Chris still believes in his roots. Been literally bleeding for a song like this from them. I love the new idea they are into as well (voices still my go to). Your singing voice is amazing I’ve seen you live and everything you do is what a death core, heavy metal or just rock fan would love.
I finally saw Motionless Live and it’s when they were touring with Knocked Loose who were equally as amazing live but I’ve been to a few Knocked Loose shows already. They are so fking good. Anyway, Bryan came out on stage and did Slaughter House with Chris and it was as close to a religious experience this guy will ever have. Wow. The place went nuts. As most of you know already, Knocked Loose shows alone are insanely physical. Them doing this live together was just intense.
Been a fan since late 2010 and omfg they have continued to amaze me with each new album. I love knowing there are bands like them who keep to their roots while trying to evolve their music in a way that appeals to both new listeners and old fans. I feel like I got my gf into them at a fantastic time in their career.

Black Sabbath, some Bullet For my Valentine, Metallica, Slayer, most Avenged Sevenfold after their first two albums, Godsmack other than their 90s stuff and their latest album, early Black Veil Brides (after their first album) - stuff that sounds like that.

Compare that to all the other tracks released during that era and you'll notice a lot more similarities than compared to metalcore nowadays. The vocalist featured is lead for Knocked Loose, a downtempo/beatdown hardcore band. They were taking style influences from Knocked Loose and putting their spin on it. Too much melody and cleans would absolutely take away and ruin this, the chorus was almost too much for the tone they're shooting for
I listen to this on the way to my corporate restaurant job where I’m overworked and underpaid by a company owned by a man who has MILLIONS of dollars :)
