Hello, I am on Qubes 4.2.3 and I'm using debian 12-xfce. I was following along with you and I got up to the point where I was supposed to move cheese and simplescreenrecorder over but they are not showing up in the applications of the settings of personal. I tried shutting down debian and restarting it. Then I tried to refresh applications on personal but for some reason they are just not showing up. Does it have something to dow with the version I'm using?
You might need to go into the Debian template and install the applications in there. They may have been removed, as both of those may not work with Wayland. I don't know if Qubes is moving into Wayland (I doubt it), but modern Debian might not have them as defaults anymore.
@@SwitchedtoLinux turns out I needed to update debian first and then I was able to see cheese. The only problem I have now is getting the microphone to work. I did everything in your video but for some reason the microphone doesn't show up to be working in the preview pane.
Make sure your wifi card is enabled in bios during install as well as a hardware switch if your computer has one, and if you’re using a USB connected wifi card you have to check off the combine sys-usb and sys-net option in the initial setup/config
just getting a usb device recognized on this POS excuse for an operating system was pathetic enough to make me uninstall and hate the devs for a lifetime.
Would be awesome to do a video on configuring VPNS 🙏
Please record how add USB qube, I know there are information on qube website but one mistake and had to reinstall qubes os :)

Thx you so much!
Just installed Qubes and couldn't access the wifi...network manager is red like on your laptop. I'd like to see how I can access my wifi. Thanks

It would be very nice if you make a video on how to install a windows ISO into Qubes, that would be the best!!
