The garden has a variety of spaces, along with several sheds that could be used for studios or workshops. The house has an odd layout of rooms which could be repurposed for the needs of a multigenerational family. There seems to be ample room for creating an additional full bath. The place indeed has character, and it's all in very good order.
Is there another hidden room at the back of the rear extension? Where the bedroom ends (looking at the position of the window) compared to where the window is on the outside ot the extention doesnt add up.
I was watching this and saying Nooo Gary, go in the front door first, it's too confusing and then I can see why you didn't lol. Lovely property but feels a little disjointed, could be reconfigured though. Not a fan of gardens with no green grass.
...but the front door is right on the pavement, and no privacy either from the front windows. Hard-scape overload. Guess no pollinators or birdies will find this "garden" welcoming. Since I left the UK, the gardens have become more and more depressing to non-existent. What happened to naturalistic native plantings, or re-wilding, or pollinator-friendly habitats? They used to be so much more prolific. Now it seems to be overly-preened, synthetic-looking spaces are the vogue.
Beautiful characterful house in a lovely position....love it.

Great cottage. Love it.
Lovely home, but would be even lovelier with a garden with grass and flowers.
What a lovely house.
What a lovely characterful home! ❤ XXX
I like this a lot very thoughtful and well presented. A little annex could be the back room.
Beautiful ❤

Very observant Debra! The space at the rear that you mentioned is the neighbours property, accessed from the neighbours side. Regards Gary.
