One tip for moving for the first time and saving money is to ask older relatives if the have spare plates or silverware etc that you could borrow or have 🙂
From my experience, most people move to be near work or college, and also where their friends are. Don't choose a place just from the heart though, Be practical. Also, don't break your Contract if possible because that will cost you. Lastly, women should make sure it's a safe area for them. Hope that helps.
I'm buying a house at the moment, and have been a renter for like a decade now, but I watched this whole video through and it was great. Really thoughtful, this will help some people so much!
Would LOVE a rental decoration video! I need some inspo. You don't have slanted roofs in your apartment right? That's a struggle I'm facing right now lol
Amazing video ❤ getting an apartment is so stressful lol especially when getting w2, paystubs and bank statements I had to pay an online vendor for help
this is super super helpful! i'm planning on moving out next summer (i know very far ahead) and i'm already looking out for deals and am buying things ahead of time so it's not as painful on my bank account lol
also! in Ontario, if you have a car and renters insurance this generally lowers your car insurance payments when you bundle so you kind of get renters insurance for free! :)
Thanks for the video! I really love your apparment, it´s so cute and has your touch. I used a picture of it in my vision board of 2021 because someday I´ll have s faboluous place like yours 😍😘🥰
Watching this and I couldn’t have come at a better time. I am going to study in Toronto, I am going in December and my semester starts in January. And I need to find a place to live while I am there. Do you know websites that I can look? I am Brazilian and I have no idea where to look. 🥲
What are the things you needed when you moved out that you never thought about? I'm moving out for the first time in the spring and I have no clue what I'm forgetting
Practical things like: can opener, scissors, various types of screw drivers, batteries, a lamp or two and bulbs, kettle, small things like spoons etc. Lastly, chocolate and coffee to keep you going on moving day.

Awesome advice!! Would you have another book recommendation like the "wealthy renter" but one that's US or UK based?
