First time I heard of Ethique. With a little research I found that they are from New Zealand and are focused on 0 plastic in their products. That's excellent. I would also think that New Zealand does not have slave labor in their manufacturing which is definitely a plus. Thank you Nicole and Mico.
Yes! I (Nicole) absolutely LOVE Ethique's focus on plastic free products and their connection to their product suppliers. I've been so impressed with the company and hope you enjoy them too!
Heroclip is a freaking lifesaver, especially if you're a female. The amount of times I've had to pee in an awkward position just because the stall didn't have anything to hang my items and I refused to put them down on the dirty floor, oh boy! Not anymore. Highly recommended, I carry that thing everywhere I go :D
Thanks for the list and tips! We tried the matador soap holder and it’s awesome! You guys are so uplifting with your energy! The way Miko always smiles at you when you’re talking is the cutest!
That is awesome! We are so glad to hear you like them. We honestly don't know how we sver traveled without them 😆 And thank you for the wonderful compliment!
Yes I (Mico) love those earbuds! I think they're so under rated and the price point is great too. Same goes for the heroclip! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 😊
Right! I spent so much time looking for the right bottle with the right lid but there was never a combination that worked. Turns out I can just make up my own combo 🤓 Perfect!
Thanks for the tips. I'm already a matador owner and was looking at hydroflasks, so this was great timing to find out that there was a thinner one. I've never seen the heroclips before - they look a great idea for keeping your bag off the floor in public toilets. Thanks for showing us those; I was just saying on my last trip that I wished my bag hook went over doors, so this is a perfect addition to my travel kit! Now to see what your other packing videos inspire me to buy!
My top suggestion for traveling to hot and dry countries is ice towels, absolute life safer and they're not that expensive or bulky. Get them wet, wring them out and they keep you cool for hours. Not so good in humid places though. Also the little USB fans that you can plug into the bottom of your phone, surprisingly effective!
You two do such great work on your videos! Both entertaining and very informative. Mico, you said you might do a vid about how you create and edit your VLOGs. Sure hope you do one. You are a very talented content creator and editor. You have a knack at telling a story with just the right content. Have fun; be safe
Thank you so much for the kind feedback Tim!! A recent thought we have is to do a video showing the different gear we use for filming and editing and perhaps we will include a bit about our editing process in that video. It is definitely something for us to think about!
We are using Adobe Premiere Pro. It's a steep learning curve and we're still learning how to use it 😵💫 Fingers crossed by the end of the year we'll get it dialed in even more 😊
Thanks for sharing. I just ordered that Heroclip today before watching you Chanel. 😊 I’m keeping an eye on a soap bar case that you both had for a while and I think i might have to get that too for my international trip.😂 I haven’t see a link about the replacement water cap so would you mind put the link because I’m interested in getting it. Thanks again and have a safe travel ✈️
So glad you enjoyed the video and yes, the HeroClip and the Matador Soap Packs are some of our favourite travel items! We would use them even for smaller trips too just because they're so handy. Sorry about the link to the water bottle lid! Here it is for Amazon US ( amzn.to/36GPWIq) and Canada (amzn.to/3NceMRf). Safe travels to you too 😋
I find that Katadyn BeFree is a good water bottle. Another thing that is good is cycling muesette bag. They are good to use around the town and they carry a lot and pack very well.
We pack similar things! I've been wanting to get one of those lighter weight Hydro Flask water bottles. Our water bottles/tumblers are some of the heaviest items we pack. Thanks for sharing your favorites! 🌺✈Heidi
That's awesome! Mico loves the lightweight hydroflask, but I am like you guys, my water bottle is so heavy, even when there's no water in it! I'm too stubborn to buy I new one when this one works fine though 😅
I love the Ethnique soaps and hair shampoo and conditioner and also the makeup remover cloth, it works so well! Love the lightweight hygiene bags you have and the tip to buy a different lid for my Lug and hydro flask water bottles!
So glad to hear you have had such success with Ethique and the makeup remover cloth as well! We hope you find the perfect lid for your water bottle if you're in the market for a new one 😀
Oh awesome!! You will have to tell us how you like the foldable water bottle. We have stayed away from them because we really like insulated bottles, but who knows, we could be converted one day!
@@nicoleandmico Yeah I like insulated or graduated water bottles too I just thought it be cool to have one that didn’t really take up any extra space that way I could even use it every day by placing it in my sling or take it when we go hiking I did it on wish so it didn’t really cost that much
Thats awesome! Before we left for travel we absolutely ate up EVERY packing video we can haha. Also in case you're interested we made a much more comprehensive packing video for long term travel on our channel. Hopefully there's some useful nuggets for you there too 😊
@@nicoleandmico I have the Hero Clip on my Travelon bag. It does come in handy for a variety of things. Thanks again for the helpful video. Your suggestions are very good. 🍄🌷🌻
My partner and I are leaving for Chile for 2 weeks in March, we'll be hiking the w trek when we're there! I've found your videos so helpful in getting a handle on everything we should bring. Thank you so much for sharing all of your amazing tips! With regards to the power adaptor, did you find that it worked for the most part while you were in Chile? In my research I keep seeing that they have type C & L plugs so I'm unsure if this is the best option for us. Love that it will charge multiple things at once whereas the adaptors I have now are all individual so you can only plug one thing in at a time.
Thanks for letting us know you are finding our videos helpful for planning the W! We're so jealous that you're gearing up for that trip right now! Such an incredible place to visit. To answer your question, we brought the adapter with us on the O Trek and actually never needed it! We remember laughing about how we'd taken it on a really long walk lol. If our memories are correct, the plugs along the trek were the kind that accept both the America and EU plugs, so we were able to plug our regular bases into the walls to charge. We certainly could have used the travel adapter if we'd needed the option to charge multiple things at once though, so it may be agood option if you'll need to 😊
@@nicoleandmico We are super excited, Patagonia has been on our bucket list for forever. Lol a really long walk for sure! Thanks for the intel. That’s amazing that they have American style plugs too, good to know :)
Thank you for sharing all of these tips!! I will definitely get myself one of the soap cases, as I travel with a bar of soap, bar shampoo, and bar conditioner! I have been keeping them in an Altoid’s Mint Tin but the soap still gets mushy. So when you use your soap, do you pull it out of the bag, use it, then put it back in the bag? Or if you’re at a place for several days, do you set the soap just in the shower on a shelf and pack it away in the bag when you’re moving onto your next destination?
Hey Kiki! If we are in a place for multiple days and have a shelf for the soap in the shower, we just leave it there and pack it away when we move to the next spot. However, there's only ever room for one soap bar, so the solid shampoo and conditioner always go back into the soap pack after each use. We are so impressed with them! We had the unfortunate experience of having a mouse make a hole in one of the soap packs when we were hiking in Patagonia and we love them so much that we had friends bring us a replacement when they met us in Ecuador the following month!
Also, apologies for the delayed response! We haven't had much service this past week as we were hiking in Peru but we should be reachable again now for the foreseeable future!
Great video - will be a new subscriber 😁. My only comment would be if Nicole could speak a little slower - sometimes it was so quick I didn’t pick up on what you were saying.
Thanks for subscribing Leta! I (Nicole) will do my best to speak slower! I know it can be difficult to understand me, it has been a challenge my whole life, but I will keep doing my best!
