Thank you so much for your video. I have learnt more from this one video and always wonder why my seedlings was not doing well and ehy they were lanky. Im from New Zealand, and really appreciate your video. Many blessinhs to you. Watching your videos religiously. 🐱🚀😍👌👍👍
Growing plants from seedlings are always bit of challenge but once you master it, it opens up lots of options and growing them from seeds are cheaper too . once again thanks for your warm comments. 👍
I learned so much info on your video! I binge watch seed starting videos and have never heard anyone explain the connection between immediately exposing the seedling to light at germination which can prevent legginess. This is a huge problem for me. I hope to find more on your channel about getting thick stalk s without legginess. Thank you, thank you!
How often I should water the plant after just getting germinated? And how long we should expose the plants in sun ? Please help my germinating plants are dying before becoming ready for setting up in nft outdoor hydroponics kit.
Thanks. Once the seedlings germinate, it is critical we move them to full sunlight. When plants are given full sunlight, they grow well consuming the water and fertilizer we feed them. We water the plants in two ways 1. For smaller setups, they are top watered using a watering can with a rose head. This works well. You need to thoroughly water all seedlings to a point the water drains from the bottom. Remember the seedlings in the corner lose more water than the ones in the middle. Compensate for that. If required a second watering is done later in the day. This really depends on the size of the tray and the volume of growing. media in it 2. For larger setups, we use a flood table where the seedlings are bottom watered. Hope this helps
You can choose any color as long as the covered tray is not kept under full sun. We keep it in the shade till first sign of germination is seen. Between black and white,I prefer white. It allows us to see without opening.

I am glad you liked my videos. Yes. exposure to sunlight can make the seedlings stocky! and healthy. Happy gardening
Airflow and strong light, also certain wavelengths of light promote stretching too.
A great video with a lot of knowledge. Appreciate it mainly as I do Home Gardening
Many blessings to uou..👍👍😍😀😊
This is an excellent demonstration. Thanks.
I loved ur explanation tq great work
This is worth watching at least twice :)
Really good explanation sir superb
Did you soak the seeds before germination ?
can i use cocopeat instead soil to plant the chilli seeds
How do you fertilize the seedlings after a week?
Sir, how do you get those pelletted seeds?
How often I should water the plant after just getting germinated? And how long we should expose the plants in sun ? Please help my germinating plants are dying before becoming ready for setting up in nft outdoor hydroponics kit.
Sad to hear that. More sad coz they don't even reply 😂
Hi, great video! Can you advise the next step being how many times to water nutrients per day as we live in a hot climate without risking rotting?

Thanks very much!
Excellent, thanks.
What color of plastic (white or black) do you recommend to cover the seed tray during the 2-3 days of germination?
Thank you again
You can choose any color as long as the covered tray is not kept under full sun. We keep it in the shade till first sign of germination is seen. Between black and white,I prefer white. It allows us to see without opening.
@@TheGeekgardener Many thanks
Where do I get pelleted lettuce seeds?
What do you feed the seedlings after 2 leaf stage as cocopeat doesn't have nutrients?
Plenty of coco suppliers add nutrients. Plus seedlings shouldnt need fertiliser for the forst couple weeks
Hi have u done one for water melons
The nursery stage for watermelon is short approx 10 to 14 days.
After how many days after sowing, seeds need nutrients from the growing medium and how do you provide nutrients to the plant?
Because what i have heard is cocopeat do not contain any nutritional value usable by the plants.
Unless it comes added of course, which suppliers do it turns out
After germination starts, should we put it in direct sunlight or indirect sunlight?
Direct light
can you reuse cocopete for gemination?
Substrate is often sterilised or pasturised for home mycology, the same can be done here
thanks for sharing I am new subscriber 🙏❤👍
Thanks for subbing!
C une très bonne idée cela
Thank you!
You're welcome!
It is grown in plastics
