- Following Brevin's return from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in João Pessoa, Brazil, friends and family come to visit in the home with him.

I was so touched when you held up Brevin's shoes. They would be perfect in a shadow box to remember his very special mission. You are an incredible mother, and it shows in your sons. I look forward to seeing what the next chapter of his life brings.

Mom, you need to fatten Brevin up! He was always really thin, but seems much skinnier coming back with all the walking and probably diet. Glad he’s back! Now on with his life!
Yes, he lost some weight (that he didn’t have to lose) while he was gone. Now that he’s home, I’ve got him on whole milk and protein shakes to bring him back to pre-mission weight.
I was going to type the same thing. I hope he is in good shape and in good health.
I was going to say the same, his weight loss concerns me! He was always thin……. but yikes! He needs a return checkup STAT! Welcome Home Brevin!
I was going to say the same thing. But also he seemed so stiff and can’t turn his neck freely. He may need some chiropractor work and some deep tissue massages to get him back to his pre-mission self. You served our Heavenly Father so faithfully and diligently, now it’s time to take care of your body. Blessings going your way.
Some of these missionary locations are very limited on their resources, including comfortable beds and adequate food. Maybe Brevin had to be extra cautious about what he ate and where because a lot of these locations have sadly, corruption and illegal activities freely floating around. Anyway, praying for you Brevin that we see you on the mend soon!

I think they touch of Brevin's shoes is amazing! Maybe you can find a deep shadow box to display/keep them in one right side up and one sole side up! you could also put his missionary badge in it.
You can tell Spencer and Brevin have a close bond.

Brevin looks so frail. Your momma heart must have broken.
Give it a few months and he will fill out with good hearty meals and this will be a distant memory. Maybe consider taking him to the Dr for tests and blood work to make sure he didn't pick up a random exotic parasite. That can also cause weight loss.
I would have thought the mission uppers would have had a duty of care not to let their missionaries weight get too low.
