This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
So back when I was in high-school in 05 I was in an honor choir for the university I ended up graduating from. Eric Whitacre was the guest composer, and I fell in love with all of his works, especially this one. I also played euphonium and would have loved to do something similar to what you've done here. Music teachers are something special. We carry their guidance with us forever. Thank you so much for this beautiful video, Drew. Very touched by this. ❤️
Good day Mr Drew, first off love the story that you are telling not only through your video with the images, but the music itself! I am looking into buying my own euphonium and loosing the old lips and expanding the deflated lungs to relearn Euphonium again! I started my journey back in high-school in 2014 during concert season after playing marching season on clarinet! I had thought myself both instruments at the time. Over the years of high school I stuck with my love for the sound of a baritone/euphonium (I do know there is a difference due to playing both) and my sophomore year during marching season my band director handed me a challenge that I COULDN'T accept. Switch from treble cleft to BASS while still learning the instrument! It took me all of marching season to learn and be able to convert it but I did it!! I am willing to have a mentor while going back through the old muscle memories.
Wonderful work Drew, amazing playing. Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on how you video and audio record and merge them, what equipment and software you use. Do you record 4, 6 or 8 individual lines then bring them all together in software?. I think is would be very much appreciated by many as there aren't many or any barbershop videos that deal with this in any depth. Any help gratefully appreciated.
Wow….absolutely beautiful. Thank You!
