Its crazy to me that we have all witnessed one of the best episodes in all of re:zero half a day ago. An absolute classic in the making. The most recent episode was just too perfect, idk what to say. The depth and backstory of Otto really helps us learn as to why he may help Subaru, what he’s experienced so far and all he’s been through. We also get to see Ram helping Otto. Thats crazy for us to learn, as most would just expect her to be completely against aiding Subaru and Otto. Idk what to say about the animation choices on Garfiel running tho 😬. We then get Subaru and Emilia interaction. This felt like a repeat of ep 18 but for Emilia this time. During their conversation, we find out their true feelings. How Subaru really feels. What Emilia is really thinking. I love Re:Zero for how realistic it is. This isnt some normal isekai romance fantasy. The depth of the characters are amazing. We see that again in this episode. The way Subaru and Emilia argue and express their feelings is so good to me. Its not like the usual “we understand eachother without having to speak cos thats realistic” type relationship. The voice acting as well. Its perfect. They could not have picked more talented, better suited actors for the job. The music for this scene was also perfect. Hige Driver doesnt mess up, he knows how to create pieces that express emotion like this song. The kiss scene and the build up to it from all the way back when they met in s1 was also so worth the wait. Caught a lot of people off guard i bet. 9/10 episode easily, only complaint is garfiel running animation and some parts of Otto’s backstory were left out and didnt make a whole lot of sense.

TBH, if you want to lust on someone you can just find an good opportunity to do that and just discard them cause lust can't make you loyal to someone and also greedy after you got what you want you can discard them and without love you can't loyal and faithful to suffer as much as subaru. If you think lust and greedy, can you suffer yourself for it? i don't think so.... i really like that line where subaru said "If love isn’t a reason to believe in someone, then who the hell would go through all this suffering to help a pain-in-the-ass woman like you!?" he know what he is doing and give a good reason for stay loyal to emilia. I like all aspect of the story where subaru can pursue all he wants to gain happiness, where the character development for every characters does and also the word that author choose carefully for every scene and every plot. Maybe its true that you can do all those suffering because lustful and greedy but for me, i can't.

I want to take a moment to thank the light novel and web novel readers for not spoiling this moment. I rarely see any spoilers for this series and I adore the fanbase for that.
As a Rem lover, I don't dislike this instant in the slightest. In fact, it warms my heart each time I see it. This is was Rem wanted. The Subaru she loves.

I Love Emilia ever since s1... and now, I even love her more. My heart is full right now because of this scene. They deserve each other. And when this story was finally able to show the deeper meaning of their love, I know for sure that their love will be memorable and unforgettable. We can't say it for now, because it is still early. The story hasn't even reach it's 50%. So there will be a lot of things that are going to happen between these two fantastic character. Maybe a lot of sufferings will come across to Subaru but at that time, he is not afraid anymore. Because he have her beside him...and along with them is their friends and family. For me, this is a fantastic episode and I love how the studio gave justice to this chapter.
YO i cried tears of joy for subaru as if it was like im happy for my buddy to be able to get tthe proper time with the girl He likes. not to mention the Otto backstory makes so much sense why he cared so much to be subaru's friend cuz he saved him from the witch cultist, he thought it was the end of his life after what happen at his country.
I've watched like hundreds of animes so far. I liked the first season but that was all, wouldn't put it as one of the best I've seen. Was asked a lot of times what's the best anime I've seen so far but couldn't really decide so far (too many good animes). But after the first episodes of season 2 and rewatching season 1 (and realising what a masterpiece it was) I've found my number one. And after every episode of season 2 I watch I'm like "wow fucking great episode but don't think the next one can be as good or even top this one" but so far every episode was sooo fucking amazing that I've finally found my number one anime.
After watching that episode, I legit dropped my plan of watching other shows that day. And this insert song elevated that scene quite a lot in my opinion.
