- Hey there, I went on a short one day trip to Shenyang, a city near Dandong, I went there mainly for doing some shopping and not exactly visiting the city, I will do another video for that. I hope you guys enjoy it.

My lovely hometown shenyang!!! I havent been back for several years and I really miss it!! Actually the shopping mall you went to is where I always went when I live in, and your video brings me a lot of memories!! I hope you have a great time there. My hometown! "Hot" is typically not a word I would use for my city because the winters are brutally cold.

That’s my home town! There is Wanda shopping square next to the train station btw XD. Shenyang is bigger city but not many foreigners. They just curious, don’t be scared :D
Yes, I saw the Wanda shopping mall, but I didn't go inside actually. Well I didn't get scared, I just thought that because it was a bigger city that people wouldn't stare so much, but that didn't really happen haha but other thatn that it was ok.

You were at the same mall that I was at when I was visiting family, I lived across the street from Ikea, probbably a 10minute walk.

Have you tried the food? The meat kebobs are really good, it might be a little aggressive for foreign taste, but its really good once you get used to it.
haha well i already tried some chinese food, but i always have to pay attention, because some food can be deadly for me hahaha
I see, well, that brings the fun down during traveling since certain foods you might not be able to try even though that might be that country's specialty.

If all goes well with my paperwork (which is now a real administrative nightmare), I should be working and living in Shenyang, starting in April. Anyone currently present there? I've never been to this city but I did, however, lived and worked in Tianjin and in Changsha (romance mostly) ;)
Hey there, haha the paper work is always the worst part of this. Well i know there is a big community of foreigners in Shenyang, after all it is the capital of the province, so i am sure you wont have any problems in meeting people there! :D

007thematrix007 well that is indeed a good question, and I have seen a lot of the news in my Facebook page and stuff like that, but honestly here we don't really talk much about this, so I dont know much about this. The only thing that I always check is the rice, I saw this video that people were selling plastic rice and now I have this obsession to control my rice before I cook it. But other than that, everything is the same.

Yuan Kode hey there, well the didi thing is actually quite difficult for me to use since it's mainly in chinese, that's why. But if i am out with any chinese friends we do use didi instead of a taxi. Thanks :D

Anddres Torres haha well the good thing about china is that vuolent crimes are not a big thing, so what we have is petty crimes, they are masters at it by now, but what happend to me was more being charged way to much when i knew that that was not the price, but i had to pay anyway. People take some advantage from foreigners that cannot speak chinese or just people that are brand new in the country.
