What an enchanted sutta sung by Ven. Bhante-ji!!. I never stop my self to listen it daily for last few days holding the text of sutta in my hand and listening the melodious and magical voice of Bhante-ji during this pandemic time of corona virus. This is indeed a very beautiful rendition of the Ratana Sutta, and I agree with those who have praised the melodious and peaceful quality of the chanting. Much gratitude to Bhante and those who have made this recording available to us in this difficult time.
However, let us also remember that it is also a teaching from the Buddha, an assertion of the truth: the power of the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha to produce happiness for those who understand the message. Understanding the meaning and rejoicing in the words of the Buddha, that the Buddha is the jewel that is incomparable, because he is the Enlightened one who has brought light into this world when it was in the dark, that the Dhamma is the incomparable jewel because it is through the dhamma that we can, like the Buddha, realise cessation, freedom from passion, the deathless, and that the Sangha is the incomparable jewel because are those Ariya Sangha who have applied themselves thoroughly in the dispensation of the Buddha, with steadfast minds, and have achieved the deathless. The Stream-winner is described here too. I believe even today, there are these Ariya Sangha around us. These words, if understood clearly, give us tremendous joy, inspiration and motivation and are a powerful motivatior for us to practise the path towards Nibbana! Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu!
