That shit happened to me today enormous from hell came and I bailed but tue wave was so strong it snapped my leashed, leaving me helpeless without my board. I nearly drowned, I was so drained bc I was trapped in the impact zone with big heavy waves crashing on me, stuck in a rip current and no lifeguard on duty. Luckily I made it out alive by the grace of GOD.

Hello friend 👋🏽 it was a crazy circumstance. Wild that I had my GoPro recording everything at that moment.
Being in that situation yourself, you know the struggle and dangers involved. You stay safe as well. 🤙🏽

Thanks Vin.. It's a lot of trial and error, trying to see what works and what doesn't. Learning new film & editing techniques too! I appreciate the comment 🤙

You should do some stuff about things like good or cool local things in florida

Very good idea. Definitely have had ideas of incorporating a Florida lifestyle and traveling to cool locations around the state.

+Anything shred I hear you loud & clear brother. I’m thinking the same exact thing. I love the idea!
At the moment I’m trying to switch my work hours around so that I have at least 3 full days in which I can travel & create content for the channel.. eventually I’d like to be able to get it to 4 full days of creating for the channel, and then hopefully be able to become a YT Partner in which I can someday make it to where I only travel & create content. That’s the goal.

why does the leash break and can u know if its a current or not prior to diving in? Seems damn terrifying lol. Prob the worst u can experience apart from a hungry GW

Hi 👋🏽 Em F. Answering your question as explained in the vlog. There was a Tropical storm swell in the water which made the waves bigger and stronger. As the wave crashed on top of me, it resulted in my rope leash (which holds my leash to my surfboard) to unknot and easily come undone because the leash rope was not adequate for that size surf or the power harnessed by the waves.
I knew there was a rip current but usually it’s not a problem for us surfers because we paddle on the surface and have our surfboards as a flotation device. Rip currents are easily avoided just by paddling out of its directional path. However, I wasn’t expecting to lose my surfboard.
It’s very terrifying! Trust me being so deep out in open water sharks we’re definitely on my mind too! My County in Florida (Volusia) has the most bites per capita than anywhere else in the world!

@@joeypaesano Wow bro u have balls of steel swimming on shark infested waters:P I just got my first surfboard yesterday so awesome that u explained this, then I understand better! Maybe ill try Cali surfing one day:P Lofoten for now! then I can deal with Orcas instead

@@mvricks90 Congratulations on purchasing your 1st surfboard! Surfing is an absolute joy. Very difficult at 1st but as you progress it gets easier. Don’t give up!
Orca’s are scary! Beautiful mammals. Very respected. But, their size, intelligence and hunting skill terrify me too! Lol.
Regardless, when we enter into their water world we are just visitors and we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Stay safe and enjoy your surfboard! Surfing is the best feeling on earth, in my opinion. 🤙🏽

Yeah, it was definitely not a good position to be in. Rip Currents usually won't bother me if I'm on my surfboard.. I'll just paddle out of it.. but, when you're out in the ocean with nothing floating you and you have to swim and fight the current... trust me your arms, shoulders and legs get tired really fast. When I finally got to shore, I had zero energy left.
