The options were Porto or Coimbra, both of which have much bigger potential and venues than Novi Sad in the first place, but the organisers never even considered it for a second. Why? Because of the fact that first, the place needs to be an indoor venue that fits tens of thousands of people and enough space for a huge stage, the sufficient number of hotel rooms for all the people involved plus the fans, again we're talking about tens of thousands, plus the adequate infrastructure and accessibility for all of those who'd go there by car. This is not a festival such as Exit. I mean, where would all those hoards of people sleep? Certainly not in tents scattered around Petrovaradin.

When Portugal won two years ago, there was the same question here about where to organise it and some desperately wanted it to be anywhere but in Lisbon. The options were Porto or Coimbra, both of which have much bigger potential and venues than Novi Sad in the first place, but the organisers never even considered it for a second. Why? Because of the fact that first, the place needs to be an indoor venue that fits tens of thousands of people and enough space for a huge stage, the sufficient number of hotel rooms for all the people involved plus the fans, again we're talking about tens of thousands, plus the adequate infrastructure and accessibility for all of those who'd go there by car. This is not a festival such as Exit. I mean, where would all those hoards of people sleep? Certainly not in tents scattered around Petrovaradin.
