BMW 5er F10/11 Cabin Filter Replacement

Thanks a lot. Helped me do this successfully on mine. About 30 minutes all in, mostly because access is complicated. On mine there were Torx 15 (not 20) and the filter box was 4 screws, not 3.

On my 2013 535i Xdrive. (1) T20 for the trim piece and (2) T27. (4) screws on the cover (1 behind the white tube)

I am going to replace the BMW 528i CAF today. I will get it done in less than 30 minutes. I will then replace the CAF in my Mazda RX-8. I will target less than 1 minute!

I just swapped the pollen filters in my F10 LCI. The old filters I removed had the air flow arrows pointing towards the middle of the box facing each other. As I understand it they should point outwards. The inner one faces towards the passenger seat and the rear filter faces the engine bay. Am I right Francesco?

Both filters need face to passanger.

0.55 there is 4 .I dis 3 and I thought it was stuck but didn't see the 4th screw so snapped abit of plastic .People be aware

Fucking BMW couldn't have made this shit much harder. 90% of cars available have this filter in a place where it takes you 30 seconds in and out, but that's not the BMW way.

WRONG DIRECTION OF THE FILTER NEAR ENGINE BAY, IT SHOULD FACING TO THE ENGINE. This video add more few hours to search for other references, and yes you did it wrong direction! 😮

After further deep online research, this is the wrong air flow direction. Both should facing passengers, pls ignore my first comment 😅. Thanks
