I like that level 3s are not the same button as most of their characters respective special move set given that the input reader is wonky and it reduces the chances of it coming out when you didn’t want it to. I think it was a wise choice.
@@Vidyadude I know very little if Ryu's inputs. I'm just responding specifically to the part about that being the case in the past games as I've seen many just that logic of "if it's been like that for years it must be fine." Stuggling? He is “struggling” against Diamond 5 players. I don’t think you know what that means. With all respect. To anyone in platinum or below he is still is basically a god with that new character.
I mean, where can Broski go from here? He already did random select and because of the new system, you can already start in diamond which he would rush to master with every character if he learned the basics.
So, just on the maths of it, getting double characters on your first two games isn't 1/400, it's only 1/20. Getting double Guile is 1/400, but so is double Lily, etc. That's because you have a 100% chance of getting a first character since we don't care what the first character is. It's 1/1. Then getting the SAME first character is 1/20. So it wasn't some insane random chance that you got double first character, only 5%.
Both L/M jinrai are punishable with invincible 7f move, that just a knowledge check, can’t believe that ryu climbed all the way up to D5 without knowing this, how he survived all these Ken?
Here's an idea, maybe make a new account, and when you do placements, just lose all your matches, except with maybe one win so you can start at a really low level? That way the grind will make more sense
Broski just showed the Ryu didn’t handle the knowledge check. If we balance the game based on players of his skill level we’d be getting Honda nerfed to the ground xD

That was so good. It needs to become a thing.
I would love to see a sajam style series of VOD's of this. Editing out the between stuff, but keeping most of the games.
i like the editing

maybe, but most level 1s are the same input and you tend to have a lvl 1 more than you have lvl 3's so you misinput more often :(
@@beegyoshi1685 if your inputs are clean, it shouldn’t happen all too often in general. But when it does, I’d rather lose a level 1 than a level 3.

Yeah these things have always been like that lol
That super for ryu has been kicks since at least sf4 btw
As far back as sfEX
It's also kicks in the Alpha series
His level 1 which is a super hadoken uses punch which makes sense since it's the same motion as a hadoken.
doesn't make it not messed up though
@@javianbrown8627 It would be more messed up not to have Super hadoken as a fireball motion, no?

One of Ryu's supers is a kick input because all of his supers are punches.
Random Select confirmed the most OP character.
Happy to see even pros struggle when they first pick up a character

I think lvl3 inputs are like that so u dont accidentally do it when trying to dp (as a normal or newer player who doesnt have perfect input control)
why would you want to accidentally do any super? you'd still get level 1

It does become 1/400 if he _really_ wanted Guile though.
1/20 is just the chance of getting any given character. Half of your placements you get no repeats at all since you only get 10 games.

Could you always get high diamond on placements or is it new? I remember the max rank for placements being diamond 1 unless I'm wrong.
Yes, it's been increased at some point
It's new. I remember winning all my placements with Cammy first phase and I got Diamond 1
Then what about Legend Random Select?
hes just too good
18:10 yeah true
Why do the players you play against not know how to DI or 2lp interrupt jinrai
You can only interrupt certain types of jinrai with jabs or DI. If you guess wrong Ken blows you up or continues to loop you.
So much for a new series :(
"it was supposed to be a 1 week video" 😅😅😅
manon to master ?
speedrun to master
Best random player in the EU
I think you could have shown more of the matches, would at least have padded the content a bit more
meanwhile i keep struggling to reach master rank with my main for the last 9 months! still on platinum tho! 🤦🏻😂😂😂
How did you get put in diamond 4? I thought the highest you could get placed was D1?
You can get up to diamond 5 iirc. It's based on the rank of your other characters too.
They just changed it in one of the most recent maintenance updates. I think the highest placement is Diamond 5.
A nanosecond into the first match against deejay and we have an example of why i dropped this game lmao
Because you didn't know how to play your character like Broski did with Guile?
@@HellecticMojo I thought it was pretty clear but I'm jokingly referring to the micro instant deejay driverush into ex sway.

Pls rank SF character feet
Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Four and ppl still think base master rank is any better than sfv ultra plat
You could try and tank all the placement matches, and start the "real" speedrun to master rank
Meh. Up until diamond Broski would just be cruising. The placement matches save a lot of time.
master rank in SF6 is a joke
