Of these Frankie's, my favorite is the 1st core Frankie mainly for the clothes and pet.
I definitely agree about the pet! Watzie is so much more detailed on the 1st core doll. I also like their 1st core outfit a lot, with the jacket. But I think I tend to gravitate towards darker color schemes, so the core refresh doll I really love for that.
They definitely changed the neck. Their are "long" neck versions that are later releases. For a couple of the dolls. 😊

I love pets too. I think the first Watzi is much more faithful to the story. He is a dog/dragon puppy and has an episode of his own in the show.

I have watched other Monster High doll collectors unboxing and reviews of these doll's on TH-cam the last few weeks and months and they say that these versions of Frankie Stein doll's all have Saran hair type. Although the Abbey Bominable Core Refresh like most Abbey Bominable doll's have Polypropylene hair type. Nobody knows why they give Lagoona Blue and Frankie Stein Saran hair but always seem to give Abbey Bominable Polypropylene hair so I don't know what Mattel's reasoning is for giving Abbey Bominable the Poly hair.
Thank you so much for the clarification. I'm always finding it hard to tell. I need to take a master class on doll hair, haha. I wonder why they won't just give saran to all the dolls, I think we would all gladly pay a little extra to get saran. 😆💜

i really didnt like the core refresh frankie at first, because the color scheme is ALL over the place and i feel like a better design would be a more controlled and cohesive vibe ... HOWEVER now they're like, the trans flag colors. so. sort of a win. my favorite frankie remains the 2 pack frankie that comes with deuce though theyre slaying
