Whenever lines in motion releases a new video, I reminded of the exquisite taste they have.
The world is so well made and the characters are so well done, I recommend it to everyone who might be interested it from the video.
haha, thank you very much! 🙏 And I couldn't agree more, so well thought out and executed!
@@linesinmotionfinally some one is talking about this master piece, i actually compared this with chainsawman when i first read this, its very similar of a start with the protagonist. However the story takes a completely different route, by keeping his protagonist powerless and this conveys a completely different feel
And likewise he also joins an organization similar to denji however he actually gets a huge responsibility and is forced to act formal and gets punished for infractions unlike denji. Far better written than chainsawman imo
To me the scariest Thing is, that even in a world where sunlight seized to exist, capitalism still exist and still tortures humanity
Out of all the horror media I've consumed over the years, this is probably the most terrifying concept I've come across. Imagine the regret and existential dread of making a decision like that
Totally!! It's such a daunting topic and decision that I find to be totally believable - despite transfloration being far-fetched in regards to reality - but Yasuda does SUCH a good job, that I really connect with the story. Genuinely thinking about what I, or even my friends, would do in this environment.
"So much of the story was well realized and brought to life in an organic way"
I see what you did there.
I can't imagine how long this took to animate, but incredible video as always!! I really look forward to your Claymore video as well 👀
Longer than it probably should have 🙈 And I can't wait to animate all the women 🤭🤭
Oh hey whimsy! When I heard about plants in the video, it reminded me of the other body horror manga I got to know from you called Wild Strawberry. Turns out it's not the same one, and these 2 seems to offer quite different flavors respectively 😅
@@MoonAnime Haha, yes! They both fall into the niche of people turning into plants, but they both tackle it in different ways.
@@linesinmotioni wish claymore explained more what was happening outside of the island
@@MoonAnimewild strawberry turned into a generic battle shounen really fast sadly
I’ve never heard of this till now. What a freaky concept
It's definitely a slept on series!
Great video!! I’d never heard of this Manga prior to this video ngl, but it looks super interesting.
Also really liked the Manga animation in this one. The use of green was really cool 😌
Dude, I get the feeling you'd genuinely love this manga given the previous stuff you like. And thank you! My PC majorly disagreed during the rendering process, however 😭 (also look at you with your fancy little tick next to your name now!)
Another great video! The limited green color palette on the panels looks so good and was totally worth the render time! I can definitely see the CSM level appeal here via Toshirou
Thank you Ian 😊 you'll have to let me know if you ever get around to it!
instead of csm another work by Fujimoto that's much like this is fire punch end of world humanity trying to survive ahhhh !!! its so good and reminds me of this
What a terrifying mix of body horror and psychological horror. Beautiful video as always
Thanks as always cheesecake!!! 😊😊
Never get tired of seeing your motion graphics really captures how it feels to read the stories you highlight
This is definitely a manga that I'm going to read. The plot and world sound so interesting.
But more importantly, once again your videos immediately catch me from beginning till end.
Once when I thought that I got used to your editing of the manga pages, you put out a video that surprises me once again.
The added green throughout the whole video is not something I would've thought of and it works so perfectly well to thrive the theme home.
Your passion and patience with each of these videos always shows and I am excited every time when I see one in my subscription list.
Thank you for making these
(Sorry, only now managing to get through the rest of the comments!) But this is so kind of you to say, honestly! But that's exactly what I was trying to go for, so I'm glad that seemed to work for you guys. It was definitely hard on my PC, so I might not do it to the same extent for all the future manga video - until I get a better PC that is - but I've learnt a lot I can now apply to other videos. Thanks so much again for the nice words!
OMG! I've been craving fool night content since I read it. Hope this manga gains the attention it deserves, the art is so good, the story is catching and full of dilemmas. But, regardless of that, I really admire all the effort we can see on your videos. You editing is amazing. Hope you can come up with more content and those come with their rewards towards you! The best of lucks!
Couldn't agree more, I hope it blows up in popularity at some point!! But thank you so much, means a lot 😊
THANK GOOOD IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE IS FINALLY TALKING ABOUT FOOL NIGHT!!! Ive been following this manga for like a year and it's really so beautiful story wise and the art!!! It's just,, i'm not sure how to explain it but it hits in such an emotional and melancholy type of way with a mood I haven't seen captured anywhere else. Thank you for exposing this story to more people because it really doesn't get enough attention and love!!
I will just comment, too: Volume 1 of this series will be officially released next year by Viz Media!
I had originally started this video in the hopes of recommending it and getting enough people talking about it, so more eyes would be on the series for it to get picked up.
And then 3 days after I started the project, it got picked up anyways 😂 So yoi can pre-order it now if it was to your liking!
that's the most interesting and original story I've heard in a long time, and maaaan that editing is on a whole other level, you've totally mastered the craft dani, absolutely beautiful art and animation, can't wait for your next videos.
I thought the exact same! Of course, other manga have been on my radar like Medalist for example, but this manga is the one that interested me the most in regards to plot, because it's so unique! But thank you so much for the kind words, they always encourage me to better myself!
I LOVE THIS MANGA, can't find this kind of works so often. Like always, great video, thanks for giving ligth to this seinen.
It definitely has its own unique take on eco horror, love it a lot!!! And thank you for checking out the video ☘️☘️🌿
YESS. im so glad to finally seeing someone talking about this manga. I adore it's art style and overall tone. it's genuinely fantastic.
Didn't even know that was a genre for this type of story! Thank you for the wonderful video and great job as always!
There's a ton of subgenres in horror!! Eco-horror is just one of the very underutilised ones, despite there being a lot of potential there. But thank you very much 😊😊
@@linesinmotionisnt this just biopunk? It fits all the definitions
Ooh, good point! They're pretty similar, but I think punk doesn't equal horror, which I think this story leans into quite a bit. If it didn't have the horror elements, it'd be biopunk all the way!
Thank you for introducing this gem to us. I read the first two already before finishing ur video n I love the story, especially the panelling. It reminds me of Chainsaw man's rough but endearing art n panelling which gives off a cinematic approach portraying a story shot by shot. This makes sense in terms of Chainsaw man mangaka, Tatsuki Fujimoto is a big movie fan in his one shot 'Sayonara Eri' is a good testimony to that as well
Couldn't agree more, which is why I'm surprised there's been a few people saying the art is off-putting to them, it's very similar to Blue Period and CSM, like you said. (Each to their own, I guess!). And yes!!!! I did want to cover Fujimoto's over works for that reason, but there's been way too many videos on that topic now, I doubt I could bring anything new to the table 😅
YESSSS I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO TALK ABOUT THIS FOR SO LONG!!!
Thank you for the amazing video as always!!
Absolutely incredible job on this video! Your narration does such a great job at reflecting the atmosphere of the series itself. Perhaps I'm biased as Fool Night is one of my favorite manga, but this might be my favorite video of yours now due to just how well you capture the essence of the manga here. Fantastically done and I really hope this gets some more eyes on the manga. It deserves it.
Edit: I completely forgot the mention the use of green! Such a good choice and implementation.
Wow, thank you so much!!! Seeing comments like this (especially quite longer ones too) always makes me smile and encourages me to do the best I can. And I hope more people become aware of this manga, it's too good to not be noticed!!
YESSSS!!! IM SO GLAD TO SEE AFTER GOD ON THE LIST!!! I can't wait to see your video on it. Thank you for highlighting it here, it's really a hidden gem!!!! I haven't heard of this manga in particular so I'll definitely check it out! 😊
Not enough people know about After God either! Feels very much like a cousin to this series, so I'm hoping people will like that video, too! But thank you very much! 😊
Thats such a cool concept and i think it's always more digestible in full when manga/comics do those sorts of settings and really DIG into thier characters, causing the reader to ask philosophical questions of themselves and thenworld around them. Very interested to hear your thoughts on Claymore. it's a classic to me and the plight of its characters is SO heavy without getting very complex and I just want happiness for damn near every one of them by the end
your videos are so good and as a content creator myself, I'm genuinely jealous of how great of a content creator/artist you are 😭 but keep up the good work. you are doing a fantastic job! your videos should have millions of views and I'm sure you'll get there.
YESSS I LOVE YOUR VOICE NARRATING HORROR MANGAS its surprisingly fitting and comforting
I love the editing of all of these vids so much, they're always so calming no matter the subject. A real vibe time with realllly cool visuals, I love these vids :D
🥺 Thank you!!! My art friends do always tell me they're perfect for when you're studying/doing another task haha
I've always admired your motion design and storytelling in your videos and every time you manage to introduce me to new mangas! Stunning video!
Always amazed at how well your videos are animated. And I'll definitely have a look at this manga !
Thank you so much - I hope the manga is to your liking!
Incredibly curated video! I honestly can't wait to start reading it, the story and art look really impressive and captivating! Really interested to see how tha pacing of tha panel works when showing more "frames" of the same scene :^)
This is a great video, the animation to the analysis itself. Thank you for shedding light on this series and showing me something beautiful.
This sounds fascinating, thanks for the recommendation!
Great job on the video editing as well; that green was a really nice touch :D
I’m always so glad to see a video by you! I’ve ended up putting all the recommendations in a priority list that I will devour after my dreaded exams are over. Thank you for putting so much effort to make such beautiful videos!
This video is so pleasant to look at despite the messed up stuff described running into my ears, and Green isn't even in my Top 10 favorite colors lol. Ok maybe Top 7, after this...
I mean I know green is a soothing color, but it's testament of your composition skills this came out so awesomely.
Can't wait for the rest you've planned to put out!
Finally someone talks about this manga
Love this series! Happy to see it get some exposure from such a talented channel.
@whimsydearest is another channel that covered it, too! In case you wanted to see another talk about it 🙌 But I can't wait for it to get more popular and reach more folk
Fool night is definitely going into my to read list. Thank you for the beautifully animated video!
What an amazing video! I'm currently reading Claymore so waiting for your next one!
love the relaxing vibe of this channel
Can’t tell you how many times I kept coming back to your channel to see if this video had been uploaded ever since you announced it. Guess YT saw my desperation and made this the first thing I saw on my recommended page 😂😅
haha, sorry for the wait, the rendering on this one was a pain in the backside! Hope you liked the video in the end! 😊
@@linesinmotion it was so worth the wait. You’re really talented and not only the editing but the scripting and overall presentation! Can’t wait for the rest of the 3 videos in this series!
I was able to read this a few days ago and catched up to the latest chapter and I gotta say, not only is it an interesting story but also a immersive one, there's this sense of melancholy, dread, wonder and hope, that just pulls you in, I highly recommend people to read it as well 👍👍
I just want to say I really love your videos and keep up the great work.👍
Thank you, appreciate the support 🙏
Nice, looking forward to this!
Love your efforts in making every video special and brilliant...plz don't ever stop
Thank You for the recommendation! I’ve read through the first 29 chapters and fell in love with it! Wouldn’t have found it without you
I am SO EXCITED for the other videos!
I love this manga so much, thank you for covering it!
glad you covered it, such a high quality video once again ❤
I love this manga. It's so common in stories for plants to just be a decoration in the background. This manga brings them front and centre in a way I've never seen before. Getting such a sense of foreboding from something as innocent as a single flower is just fun to read. This mangaka is very skilled.
Haven't watched the entire yet but omg the summer hikaru died!!!! I can't wait to see your thoughts about it. I'm not really into horror but this manga caught my attention.
Edit: Omg the editing and animations of this video are gorgeous, I greatly enjoyed it💚
I'd say they're both more visual creepy than anything which might be why some non-horror fans are okay with both series! 🫣 And thank you so much, that means a lot ty!
@@linesinmotion That would explain. Something that also drew me in was how the panels and word placement were used in the manga to create a rather unsettling atmosphere.
This is Like a Dream Come True ❤. I came across this Manga sometime ago and after reading the first Chapter was shocked that I Never hear about this Series Online. And have been Trying to get people into it. Now See One of The Best Manga and Art Essayist Talking about this is Like Unbelievable to me.... You animated and Talked about this beautifully and I look Forward to You covering The other Mangas as well ✌
Im in a bad place right now so the triggers will make me skip this for now. However, I am very intrigued how a story would turn greenery into a key part of its horror other than greenery outright attacking humans. These plants slowly take away humans' identity.
Usually a lot of art and media glorify greenery but to see that glorification twisted on it's head is such a refreshing take.
Was wondering when this video would come out, saw your community post from a month ago about it and went right to reading all of fool night. Was a lovely video and I enjoyed reading this niche manga.
haha, thank you for trusting my taste and reading it before I even got the video out - that genuinely always makes me smile when I see comments like that. My manga videos normally take 4-6 weeks to make, just bc the animating is time-consuming, if that gives a better indication for the future, so as to not keep you hanging😂 But thank you very much!
So happy you're going to cover Claymore in the future. It really is Shonen's black sheep manga that deserves more praise!
Lovely stuff as usual! your videos are so consistently great. Hyped to read this.
Thank you!! And I hope you like it whenever you get to it!
Awesome video production ❤😎
amazing video and animation, thank you for the recommendation! definitely adding this manga to my reading list, your taste is immaculate :D
never expected such psychological manga I read to be beautifully written and presented like this, it is safe to assume that this manga is going to get more traction after your video right
haha, i'm not going to assume my channel is big enough for that kind of impact! 😂 But ig quite a few have said they'll pick it up in the comments, which was my main goal!
amazing work as always dani! commenting to boost the video :3c this is i think your best video yet, so many amazing and creative editing on display...
Thank you so much, appreciate that, truly!! 🥹🥹
This is such a amazing video to watch! Really brought me into the world of this manga, thanks for the recommendation!
Ooh, nice! New LIM video! I remember coming up with a similar story that of course never developed. 😂 I'll try to check Fool Night then! Can't wait to watch your video about Claymore!
Crazy how underrated you are 💀🙏
Interesting sounding work, time to bookmark it. Odd think was... hearing the premise though it has no relation "King of Thorn" popped into mind. But humans that turn into plants and or are part plants also brings to mind x amount of the clones(?) in Nihei's "Knights of Sidonia". Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Claymore... such a great work been a while since I thought on it.
this video is so beautifully produced, gj
also I might actually check this out the concept is really intriguing to me
Thank you very much 😊 And I hope you enjoy the manga when you get to it!
FOOL NIGHT IS A MANGA I LONGED FOR SO LONG ever since i finished reading Naoki Urasawa Sensei's esential works.
I adore it so much! The concept, the story, the art, the panelings.
Maybe, the last title ever doing it for me before it was Tengoku Daimakyou. That got animated recently.
Great video! Your editing skills are clearly improving. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!!
Watching lines in motion videos made me pleasantly surprised that we read the same things. It’s also a feast for the eyes that reminded me of the feeling I have reading the work.
amazing video, completely sold me on the manga
the summer hikaru died is excellent
gotta check this one out, I did remember seeing a bit of buzz about it elsewhere, nice color palette you used here
There have been two other videos on Fool Night, but it got a bit of buzz last month because it officially got picked up by Viz media for a physical release, maybe it was that?
@@linesinmotion I think uchuu shelf mentioned it on twitter and some people I've talked to have mentioned liking this one as well I believe, can't quite remember
Have to give you massive thanks for not only giving me a great recommendation, but also for teaching me about tempo-shifting.
Ugh your videos are always so good! Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to read!
Thank you so much 🥺🥺 And I hope you enjoy!!
@@linesinmotion I always do! You’re doing great ☺️🖤
Cool story
Thanks for the rec
I read the first chapter and wanted to comeback to it,but I forgot its name, glad to see it talked about and that I finally have the mangas name to go back it.I really like the motion graphics used in the video really added visual interest especially the motion comics.
Thank you so much! And at least you know the name now, always hate when that happens
I love your videos, all of them are excelent and really fun to watch, thaks for making them!
Glad you like them, thank *you* for watching them!
I'm very glad it's getting more recognition because it's a great manga.
Did I comment on this video? I can't remember. EXCELLENT essay, I added this to my TBR list right away.
This sounds super interesting I'm definitely checking it out
I love fool night since its first chapter. Its a slow burn but good, the illustration style is really unique too. Something I want to know about the world in fool night, it seems that hyperinflation has further increased the gap between rich and poor. The way mental health and depression is nicely illustrated. Also this is way better than wild strawberry.
Amazing video and so excited to read this series after watching the video❤
Hope you like the manga!! And thank you
after watching this I went and read volume 1 and its SO GOOD! Thanks for the recommendation!
Looks like a good, intriguing recommendation. It's too bad that your colour work here isn't featured in the original (I love the greens you used), but hopefully the rest of Fool Night makes up for that.
(Wow, sometimes TH-cams random recommendations are spot on.)
Amazing video! Just got up to date with this awesome manga and it's super intriguing
What program do you use to edit? Really curious!
omg fool night! i'd never heard anyone acknowledge its existence yet! i own all 5 volumes currently out (in french). great content aside, i really love the art in this manga. immaculate taste and editing as usual :)
Yeah, how it doesn't have more attention, I'll never know. But hopefully with the physicals comings out in English next year, that might change things? But much appreciated! 😊
I like Fool NIght and the way you make this video is incredible. Really 🚬🚬🚬
Always on the lookout for new horror manga (:
yooo.. insaanee editing!!..take my sub!!!
Amazing video as always
"Kaiju no Kodomo" could be also consider eco-horror? And thanks for the rec, i really needed some of this angsty existencialism... food for thought
Your essays are always so well written 👏 ❤ the green and gray colors makes the manga stand out a lot (also reminds me of the gl manga "the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all" )
OMG, I love that manga so much!!!!! But thank you!! 🥹🥹
@@linesinmotion 🥰🥰🥰I'm happy that you enjoyed this manga too I love the rom-com aspect of the manga sm
Wonderful video Dani! I definitely want to pick this up especially now that VIZ has licensed it, gimme those physical copies!
Getting the physicals of this and Medalist in the same year, the world is healing!! But ty 😊
I didn't see the whole video as now I want to read it first. The concept sounds so cool! Also an eerie observation for folks here from India, Fool in Hindi means flower. I know its reaching but an amusing observation none the less.
No way, that's actually an awesome coincidence! I hope you like the manga when you get round to it 😊
these are always worth the wait
Great video!
Super intrigued
for anyone deciding to read the manga now - yeah up that trigger warning the most recent chapters got VERY HEAVY
Interested me immediately and preordered it on amazon.
Hello again, GOAT
This Manga actually caught my interest after reading the summary in the back of the manga. I almost bought the volume 1 last day, but I can't decide if this or the manga called "Blame" will I read next.
Does this manga have fight scenes?
Or can you suggest some dystopian or apocalyptic manga that is set in the present day and has some actions. Maybe something like Berserk but in the present days.
Been reading since chapter 1, I hope it gets a adaptation one day
I'm so glad to see a video about this manga, its a shame that it comes out monthly but damn its crazy good.
You had intrigued with me the premise, then you told me there is more that you haven't even menyioned and that hooked me. The whole communicating with plants is also very Swamp Thing.
Yes!!!!!! As a poison ivy fan too, I love the use of greenery in this kind of way (swamp thing is awesome, too!)
