- A longplay for Luigi's Mansion Arcade, released in 2015 by Nintendo and Capcom.
The game is based off Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon, which makes sense considering that came out 2 years prior. It features the same ghosts and locations and even some ScareScraper exclusive ghosts later in the game, which I think is really cool.
The gameplay is pretty simple. Luigi moves automatically whereas the player controls the Poltergust 5000, which can be used to obtain treasures and defeat ghosts.
The game is notably pretty difficult, giving the player only 2 hearts. This makes sense considering it's an Arcade game though.
The game even features unique boss fights, although it uses the same bosses from LM2.
There are 3 levels in this game:
Gloomy Manor: The starting mansion. It's the only mansion that let's you pick a path. The boss is "The Brain" ghost in the Piano Room.
Old Clockworks: The 2nd level in the game. The bosses are "the three sisters", who oddly enough appear in Haunted Towers in the 3DS game.
Treacherous Mansion: The final level and King Boo's home. Here you'll fight some unique ghosts...and that's basically it. No puzzles really. At the end you fight King Boo who is pretty fun tbh.
I love how when Mario finishes a game he stuffs his face with cake or something. But when Luigi finishes a game he just takes a nap.

I played this one once, and then it instantly became my favorite arcade machine out there. i now play it every time i get the chance.

I actually played it for the first time at Dave and Busters yesterday, we did 2 player mode, and we got all the way up the The Treacherous Mansion, and defeated King Boo. Not a bad version of Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon for the 3DS in arcade form 😄👍🏼

tbh, it would've been nicer if Capcom pulled randomly from the 5 mansions available in Dark Moon and had more branching paths, but they did good for what Nintendo let them do!

One time I played this game at Dave and buster’s and after I was done playing it I think my phone must’ve slipped out of pocket while playing this and I lost my phone and I was freaking out and I couldn’t find it anywhere and I started to cry until someone was nice enough to give it to the lost and found as soon as I went to the lost and found and I got my phone back, thank god nobody stole it.

The game looks solid, but the difficulty screams "feed me money" attitude. Kids will love it and I would love it, but I would not be paying enough to complete this game.

Tbh. I think Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon had the best ending than the other two in the series ( The other two so far. ) Because there were so many heart warming moments in it. And Dark Moon was just a Master Piece, though it was more Puzzle like, still a great game. And the best ending in my opinion...

it is the best for wholesome things but it will never ever have the same dreadful horror the first game did..
I remember playing this last year at Dave & Buster's! The rattling of the controllers (when you pick up coins) was definitely very distinct and jarring, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and wish I could go back and play it again, but the current circumstances kinda prevent that... :/

I just went to Dave and Buster's and was surprised to find Luigi's Mansion arcade there. It's actually really good.

I think LM2 HD could use these models instead of changing the artstyle, you guys already have a high quality Luigi right there!

Man, this brings back memories, that Fat Yellow Ghost in the Gear Chamber scared the shit out of me, I remember summer 2014, being at Dave n, buster and always begging my mom for another round, I was at least 10 at time. I spent all of my birthday money on this game, god watching this makes me miss my old life.
Usually in Luigi's Mansion, sucking up multiple ghosts sometimes gives hearts, so the only way to stay alive is to be good.
But not having hearts and expecting players to be 90% perfect at the game or expecting them to pay to continue is use a dick move.
That's why I dislike arcades, because you have to pay. That's why I bought the 2DS version
The strangest thing is that there are machines for this game in Brazil (I played and died like a noob)

For real though, the first game was really scary. If they made another one of these arcade games, it would be with that.
Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon but:
1. There's only 3 Mansions to explore.
2. The Mansions are short.
3. You move automatically slow.
4. The boss ghosts are in the wrong places.
5. The boss ghosts and King Boo getting sucked into the Poltergust 5000 looks terrifying.
6. You can use the Strobulb on King BOO.
Ignoring the Possessors.
The first, third and fifth Mansions all had Boffin bosses: three Boffins, the Boffin Elder and a Strong Boffin. You can't have Boffins for all three bosses in this game. That's why the Three Sisters are in a different Mansion. Also, it being The Brain makes it more interesting than a regular Boffin.

This game actually startles me and causes me to panic quite a lot
I mean multi-tasking while also trying to not take damage, while also trying to suck the ghosts, while trying to save your dead friend. Yeah it's real hard
I play this all the time at Dave and Busters but it’s nearly impossible to play longer than five minutes without dying, even with two players
Seems they reused some of the cutscenes from Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon and made them in a way it would make sense in the arcade game.
Kinda funny how King Boo has more health in this game than he does in the actual game.
I like The Brain boss fight. I like all boss battles in Luigi Mansion arcade.

This game might be fun if it was playable. But they decided to put the game that makes you wave around the controller inside a small cramped box. Simply making it a standing up game would make it a million times better

Things that make this Arcade version of Dark Moon different from the 3DS version
1.every boss is in the wrong place
For example the Twin Sisters are Residing in the Haunted Towers in the Arcade version the Twin Sisters reside in Old Clockworks.
2.Why is every boffin boss a normal boffin instead of a Brain Boffin?
3.why isn't Haunted Towers and Secret Mine included?
4. Game is way too short
5.why Does the King Boo Final boss take place at the Terrace? Instead of King Boo's illusion?
6.Where in the Mushrooms is Mario?
I'm guessing this takes place after Luigi Defeated King Boo and Mario Returned to His home In the Mushroom Kingdom
Instead Luigi saves a ghost dog that caused Him trouble throughout his adventure
8. Some parts of the game are absent
The intro cutscene is strangely absent
