I don’t know if I’ll make a video specifically about this, but I have now played Taking Over, which does sound better and clearer than the original. Have you heard it yourself yet?
Don't have Overkill on vinyl, but was thinking about getting this to go with the excellent Kreator "under the guillotine" set. It will be worth it just for years of decay and horrorscope alone.
I've been eagerly awaiting this thing ever since I saw it come up for pre-order on Amazon back in August. I should finally have mine within the next couple weeks, so we'll see. Regarding the box gap, they could have filled it with a nice booklet, or something similar, like you said. For the price they're asking for this thing, I'm a little disappointed they didn't...BUT...I am very happy to see that they did include reproductions of all the printed inserts/inner sleeves! I was seriously wondering if they would do that, since other box sets have failed at that in the past (can we say Helloween?). All in all, I'm glad to see how this set turned out, and I can't wait to get mine and see how those half-mastered records sound! 🤘 As for my favorite record here, I would say Taking Over. 👍 Cheers!
Hey there MH! Great to hear that your own box set is on its way to you. And actually... you've made me wonder whether a booklet was planned then abandoned for some reason, and hence the gap... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Hey, great album choice. 🔥🔥🔥

How's the sound quality on this set? Some not great comments on the Amazon reviews so wary of spunking three figures on it if it doesn't sound the best..
Must admit, I'm not a great audiophile at all. BUT Taking Over sounded better to me, while The Years Of Decay sounded the same. So far those are the only two I've played. Can anyone else shed light on this question?
My favourite music is probably late 80s/early 90s death metal, to be honest I'm intrigued that you seem to buy predominantly box sets. It a good way to get a whole bunch of albums by the same artist all at once, that is for sure. I need to edit my vinyl collection. It's unfocused. It contains some albums in terrible condition or that I dislike. It has at least two or three albums I suspect of being very dodgy ideologically/fashy (not that I knew that when I got them). It's painfully obvious that I was making it up as I went along. Flipping through it makes me much less happy than it ought to I need to Marie Kondo it. Go through one album at a time, and only keep the ones I love. Then I need to collect certain bands, not just random shit. I need to figure out who my favourite bands are and get rid of most other stuff. Maybe not everything else. For the most part, I need whole runs by my favourite bands. Not just whatever I found cheap in charity shops etc, or in record stores on various birthdays and so on and so forth. I own circa 800 LPs and in all honesty I probably need to get rid of at least 200 or 300 in order to save my collection and want to play it again. Maybe that is a bit like your VHS collection?
Very curious as to whether they've remastered these albums, or, if they haven't, how they actually sound on vinyl. I have all of these albums on their original CD pressings, and the sound on the early albums is definitely rough. They probably never went through the trouble of separately mastering them for the digital format. I would definitely love some input on this, as I'm on the fence as to whether to purchase this.
